20110305 hand pump at PSA. Beautiful creamy light caramel-golden with sturdy, tall khaki head. Aroma is a shock of American hops, orangey citrus and tropical fruits with some mild vanilla cake. Body is full, creamy, luscious, but with a strong smack of tangerine bitterness. I could ramble on about this one, because I’m really digging it, but is rather just enjoy. Draft - Pratt St. Ale House. Clear dark orange, thin off white creamy head. Buttered citrus and earthy dried fruits ride a wave of toffee aromas throughout. Thick English hop bitterness balances well on a dry citric zest and earthy caramel malt foundation. Medium bodied, medium carbonation, drying bitter finish. Cask at Birch and Barley. Hazy amber pour. The nose is loaded with soft toffeeish malt. The flavour is very hoppy however. Lots of earthy/dank hoppiness on the back, but it still has clean well-attenuated maltiness to balance. A slight whiff of sulphur up front as well. Cask. Pours clear amber with a large, frothy off-white head, long retention with excellent lacing. Aroma is heavy earthy and herbal hops, citrus zest, biscuit and cereal malt, and fruity esters (tropical). Flavor is heavy hops, moderate bitterness and malt with tropical fruity esters, coconut, and a dry finish. Medium body, warmth, and carbonation.

Saw it at Max’s but had a cask sample and tap pint at Pratt. Amber. Tap head lasts longer while the cask has almost no head. Soft hoppy flavour. Alcohol seems more dominant in the cask sample. Tap at Paradiso Georgetown. Pours a clear reddish amber with a decent head and small lace. Aroma is flan. Straight up flan with caramel sauce, custard.
