Tap at the source. Pours black with a medium, creamy tan head, medium retention with excellent lacing. Aroma is dark chocolate, figs, prunes, nutty and caramel malt with vanilla notes. Flavor is malt dominant with light spices, dark chocolate and fruity esters, light hops and medium bitterness with a sweet finish. Tap. Pours murky, dark brown with thin, creamy beige head; decent retention and spare lacing. Aroma is roasted and caramel malts, booze, plums, floral hops, and woody notes. Flavor is roast malt forward with dark fruit esters and light earthy hops (light bitterness) with some subtle booze undertones; dry finish. Medium body and low carbonation.
