Finnish mellan öl, what a hell? Very light color, big white head, smells metallic. Taste is watery. Something like coors lite, e.g. huge disappointment in any sensible way of measuring. Well, at least this is not utterly horrible. bierkoning (13355) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - JUL 8, 2012
Can from Tbone, thanks! Floral, grainy aroma. Sweetish soapy flavor, with only traces of floral hops. Just a bit watery. Kingi (662) - - JUN 18, 2012
malty aroma, a decent appearance , full head and yellow colour. a bit watery palate. Basically like any big brand lager that doesn’t taste bad but with less alcohol. So in the end better than most big brand lagers. omhper (25153) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - JUN 18, 2012
Canned, from S-Market, Håkansböle. Clear golden, small head. Fruity nose with some boiled vegetables. Sweetish and lighty bodied. Except for a general bland fruitiness and some nasty resiny bitterness along with these rotting vegetables there is nothing here. fonefan (49412) - VestJylland, DENMARK - MAY 21, 2012

Clear medium yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is light moderate malty, bread, caramel, vegetable, cardboard. Flavour is moderate sweet and light light bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft.
500 ml can. Pours clear deep golden with rather large foamy head that disappears quite quickly. Aroma is sweet and skunky with malt, grain, cucumber and plenty of rubber. Flavour of sweet malts and light hops. Low carbonation, watery and light bodied. Quite ok pale lager but has some unpleasant notes as well. Doesn´t really differ much from Sandells except for the colour. A very typical Olvi. Kavu (4796) - Helsinki, FINLAND - APR 21, 2012
Pours pale golden with a low head. Weak aroma is malts, as is the watery flavor. Not bad, just too light. ration (2238) - Tampere, FINLAND - APR 20, 2012
Pours light golden with a high head. Aroma grass, bread. Slightly metallic, but not the worst offender. Low palate and watery overall. Pretty much as expected. FatPhil (16102) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - APR 11, 2012

I was supping from the can and got a nice smoky hit to the aroma. However, that can had shared a fridge with our yummy cooking, and Anna’s glass had none of that aspect. Shame, as without that there’s really bugger all there, maybe just a slight milky light grain aspect. Pours with a reasonably thick head compared to the last can of macro piss, but it’s still almost entirely transient. Colour ain’t so bad, quite a pleasant pale orange. In the mouth you get a smack of metallic malts immediately, the malty side’s nice, but the metallic side’s dire. Retronasals have a lot of dank brown paper to give up too, niiiiice. First gulp filled me with horrors, indescribable and even if I did describe them, they’d be censorred for reasons of good taste. Second gulp’s less horrific, more like Olvi’s usual fingerprint - still not good. Plenty of metal in the finish - pure extract, never seen a hop flower in its life. Late finish does have some soapy aspects. Sub-par, even for Finnish standards.
Can. Golden, average and fully diminishing head. Light to moderate malty - lightly grainy and lightly sweetish aroma, some sharp metal. Body is light, malty and lightly sweetish flavor, faint sharp metal with faint hoppyness. Finish is short, malty and lightly sweetish, some sharp metal, faint hoppyness. Watery "folköl" with metallic aroma/flavor .
