33 cl bottle from Systembolaget. Clear, amber liquid with medium tan head. Aroma is smoked with notes of charkuteries, caramel and bready/biscuity malt. Taste is light sweet, light to medium bitter with notes of smoke and sweet malt. Medium bodied with OK carbonation. One of the better beers to go with Swedish Christmas foods. The smoke plays well against the ham and the meatballs. MikeKeller (956) - Kemi, FINLAND - DEC 23, 2011
Botle from Systembolaget. Clear, beautiful reddish brown beer with brown head. Caramelly malty aroma has some smoke too. Taste is quite sweet malty with yet again some smoky tones. Some berry flavour detectable aswell. Oily mouthfeel. A bit one-dimensional brew and there could be more smoke in the mix. Ingevara (910) - SWEDEN - DEC 22, 2011
Stiff head that lasts for a while. Flowery and smoky smell. The aroma is rather deep with lots of malt. Low carbonation. The flavor is a bit surprising - I had mine with a meal of ginger and honey grilled ribs, and the beer tasted about the same as the ribs, but with more hickory smoke and bitter aftertaste. A singular experience I’d like to do again (...?) Christian (13769) - Odense, DENMARK - DEC 20, 2011
Red amber with a small off-white head. Fruity and bready aroma with hints of smoke and ash. Sweet malty flavour with some smoke, a hint of hard roasted malt, and some spice. Well brewed beer, it’s just to weird for my taste

Amber colored beer with a frothy tan head. Aroma is caramel, hay, toast and a light smokey note. Taste is medium to heavy sweet and medium bitter with a very light smokey note. Medium body, oily txture, soft carbonation and a dry yet sweetish long bitter finish. _angst_ (4810) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - DEC 14, 2011
330 ml bottle bought @ Systembolaget and consumed on December 15. Pours deep amber with a fizzy cappuccino coloured head that leaves some trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is malty sweet with wood, grass, sweet grapes and subtle hints of smoke. Taste is sweet and smokey with peat, wood, tar, caramel, orange zest, cloves and hints of anise. Finish is rather bitter with a nice, not too intruding, smokiness. Nice and balanced! Ktwse (5305) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 11, 2011
UPDATED: DEC 2, 2012 Need to re-rate this. 2012 edition is better than last year’s. Pours clear brown with small light tan head. Aroma of smoke, tar, leather but also blood orange, carnation, and some caramel malt. Sweet taste with a light bitterness towards the end, lots of smoke and leather. Body is light to medium, with low carbonation. Meilby (11613) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - DEC 9, 2011

Bottle from systembolaget, Christmas beer tasting. Helsingborg, November 2011.
Sweet caramel aroma with a spicy, slightly smoky vibe. Spices, leather, rope, tar, salt and peat smoke together with sweet caramel notes. The taste and body is smooth with a light refined smokiness, caramel flavours and some leather. Long finish.
