2009 bottle at The Bishops Arms Folkungagatan, Stockholm, Sweden. Staff recommendation, and a good one. Dark cloudy brown. Aroma of campfire and burnt toffee. Taste is like a perfect scotch. Nice stuff. dnoaksson (827) - , SWEDEN - DEC 3, 2011
Deliciously smoky aroma. Heavy on the bitter, and a lingering aftertaste. That’s not a negative though. KnutAlbert (6754) - Oslo, NORWAY - OCT 21, 2010
Dark brown beer. Some smoke and a hint of sourness in the aroma.
Lovely smokey flavour, the smaoke playing with the swett malt that is also very present. Some dry malt and hints of cocoa, too.Open fire, bacon, this would be great with fat christmas food. Well done! nazzty (1376) - Ödåkra - Helsingborg, SWEDEN - DEC 2, 2012
Many flavors competing for attention. Buckling, smoke, dried fruit and a lot of sweetness. Full-bodied and warming a chilly december.

Bottle at Monks Café Wallingatan, Stockholm. Pours out in a clear reddish amber colour topped with a rich frothy tan-coloured head. Rich yet rounded aroma of smoked sausages, toasted malts, iodine, sea-salt, roasted almonds and dried herbs. Medium to full-bodied with notes of sea-salt, tar, heavily smoked ham, licorice, roasted nuts and mild herbs. Firm mouthfeel with gentle carbonation. Long peaty finish of salty licorice, sea-salt and toasted malts. One of the best and unique Rauchbiers I’ve sampled to date with it’s distinctive notes of Islay whiskey. 2010 version, but also calle a smoked bock on the label - 6.5% ABV. A deep red beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of smoke, malt, caramel, and bread. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, smoke, caramel, wood, and bread, as well as a touch of spices, leading to a dry smokey finish. BeerSkull (1373) - SWEDEN - NOV 8, 2011
Soft and rich aroma with lots of flavors such as orange, lemon, yeast, sweet malt, spices and smoke. The taste is round with soft tangy and fruity notes, hints of caramel and a slight smokiness. The smooth taste is impressive. This is a great beer! finol (3385) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - DEC 5, 2009

Spicy and x-masy! diabel (1713) - Aarschot, BELGIUM - AUG 17, 2010
Bottle This is a well balanced, quite complex beer. It has a clear amber body, with a lightly brown creamy head. The aroma is subtle and well balanced with a smoked touch (smoked bacon) as well as caramalts. The flavour is lightly bitter, lightly sweet, again malty and smokey.
