Soft smokiness, bit of fruit and leather. Taste is a bit salty with a nice triangular cooperation between smoke, sweet and bitter. Balanced and good drinkability. Svesse (8601) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - FEB 26, 2010
(Draught at Bishop’s Arms Vasagatan, Stockholm) Reddish amber colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, slightly fruity nose with notes of caramel, red berries, smoke, a touch of cinnamon and spicy hops. Malty taste with caramel, toasty and smoked malt, red berries and a spicy, citrussy bitterness leaning in the marmalade direction. Slightly above medium body, with a little alcohol bite in the finish. Smoke initially a bit subdued, but comes through as the beer warms up. Nice and well balanced beer. olsvammel (7225) - Örebro, SWEDEN - NOV 28, 2010
UPDATED: DEC 15, 2013 Bottle from systembolaget. It poured a clear dark amber liquid with a medium sized light beige head. Smell of spices, caramel malt and orange peels. Taste of Spices, burned toast, licorice, cinnamon and orange peels. Semi-smooth mouthfeel, medium thick body and medium amounts of carbonation. Decent Christmas beer with allot of christmasy spices. Re-rated in 2013. Nice fresh smoky character to this beer. konstifik (573) - SWEDEN - NOV 29, 2010
Pours a reddish brown with a tanned head, leaving thin lacings. Aromas of meat grilled over charcoal, caramel and a touch of dried fruits and clove. Rather dry and with only a light bitterness. Smooth beer but with some edge in the smoke. It made a fantastic companion to a hearty pork stew I must say. gyllenbock (9177) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - DEC 10, 2010
Clear reddish/brown with a medium tan head. Nice aroma and taste of smoke, ham, caramel, licorice and spices. Medium carbonation and body. A good beer.

7 On pouring, tons of banana. In the glass, there’s still plenty of banana, but a pleasant dry wooly smokiness too. Was served cold, so expect it to evolve.
4 Lovely deep red, with an brief spongy orangy tan head.
7 Great rich roasty taste, a touch wooly. Some liquorice and slightly christmassy spices there too.
4 Full palate, smooth and a touch sweet, and with pleasant carbonation. Finish picks up from the roastiness of the taste, and continues with actual burntness, and a bit of barky bitterness.
14 Covers the alcohol well. Full of flavour, rich and warming. Good one. Thanks SaintMatty!
Bottle. The aroma is malty and a little smoked and roasted and also a little caramel. The colour is amber and a little tanned head. The flavour is fruity and spicy and a littel caramell.
A really nice christmas beer Ingevara (910) - SWEDEN - DEC 22, 2011
Stiff head that lasts for a while. Flowery and smoky smell. The aroma is rather deep with lots of malt. Low carbonation. The flavor is a bit surprising - I had mine with a meal of ginger and honey grilled ribs, and the beer tasted about the same as the ribs, but with more hickory smoke and bitter aftertaste. A singular experience I’d like to do again (...?) Theis (15152) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - DEC 20, 2012
Bottle at home - shared with Mette. Clear dark red/brown - offwhite head. Nice smokey, ryebread, nutty, high malty, light bitterness, light sweet malty, bread, dark bread, light caramel. faroeviking (10913) - FAROE ISLANDS - DEC 21, 2012
