[email protected] Arms Vasagatan, Stockholm. Reddish amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is bready malts, some fruity hops along with mild toffeeishness. Flavour is grassy, fruity and slightly toffeeish. Quite viennalike, but very drinkable and nice.

Ljunkan (530) - Karlstad, SWEDEN - APR 29, 2009
Bottle at Bishops Arms, Karlstad. Pours an amber color with a white head. Nice caramely malty aroma with notes of dried fruits. Flavour is a bit sweet with notes of caramel and some light hops in the background. Somewhat lightbodied in the mouth but pretty smooth. Very drinkable but not exciting. Fun to try an Icelandic brew though, I only wish it was their imperial stout ...

330mL at Bishops Arms Folkungagatan in Stockholm. The pour is a tea amber with a thinning, bubble head. Pretty weak sauce. Aroma is tawny port, old rust, cellar, meaty. Wow- very nice. Taste is sweet, malty, thin, basic, nothing really interesting, maybe some butter. Suddy, thin, watery palate. I thought for a second we were in for the best bitter in the world. What a let down :(

From bottle at SlovakSniper & Rodenbach99 Iceland super tasting, merci beaucoup Yan, Yan et Pat! Amber pour, white head. Nice caramel/toffee aroma, light peppery english hops. Taste is slightly peppery, lots of sticky sweet toffee flavors. OK palate, kind of brought down by a kind of weird alcohol aftertaste. OK.

Bottled. A nutbrown beer with a tan head. The aroma is sweet with notes of nuts and some caramel. The flavor is sweet is with notes of nuts, malt, metal, and caramel, as weel as just a touch of licorice, leading to a dry metallic finish, where a bit of sweetness lingers.
