Small offwhite head. Hazy opaque deep yellow body. Fruity resiny aroma with citric notes. Dry mealy resiny pine needle taste with earthy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish mealy resiny earthy aftertaste with orangey notes. Nice, but maybe a little harsh. (0.33l bottle at Svarta Kaffid, Reykjavik.)

UPDATED: NOV 21, 2014 Bottle at Keflavik Airport, best by May 2016. Cloudy amber with a billowy and lasting white head. Resinous and grassy hops with touches of tropical fruit are pushed by high effervescence and strong phenols. Has a slight resemblance to German Amber Weizenbock but the hop profile is certainly western, so that and the bitterness put it closer to American Wheat IPA. Medium body, rich and creamy wheat texture contrasted by high carbonic acid to adequately cut the sugar. Highly drinkable.

33cl bottle at 73, Reykjavik. Pours hazy deep golden to orange with an off-white head. Fruity aroma dominated by citrus with notes of wheat, yeast and hints of spices. Moderate sweet with citrusy and wheaty flavours a fairly bitter finish. Nice one!

Bottle pour. Thanks Keven. Pours a cloudy orange color with a super super fresh hop aroma. Amazing. Not too much wheat flahor, but it’s definitely there. Mellow citrus fruit flavor. Some orange. A little spice on the finish with an amazing hop finish. What am incredible beer here. Must try.

A hybrid between a Wheat beer and a Double IPA comes first up into my mind when bringing this up to my nose.
Nice head, lasting forever.
Hoppy taste, and some more hops.
This hop bomb would go very well with asian food, and fish.
Full, grassy and long lasting hoppy palate.
Alcohol present but not in the way.

Aroma of Peaches, wood and hops. One of the better wheaties I´ve had. Overall: 17/20. Another stellar beer from the best brewery in Iceland.

Dark golden nice head. Sour apricot and flower in the aroma. Malt, fruit with strong flowery hoppy toffee aftertaste that grows. High in carbon.

Af krana á KEX. Það er kjördagur og allt um kring eru fjölskyldur að drekka bjór og missa sjónar á börnunum sínum. Vel gert!

haukur (2112) - Kópavogur, ICELAND - MAY 28, 2014
Orange with a small but firm head. Huge lacing along the glass. Aroma is very hoppy, resiny, slight pine but loads of citrus and fruits, some orange zest as well. Some slight yeasty cheeseness as well. Medium to heavy bitterness, dry finish. Light to medium bodied, with a slick texture, average carbonation. Long dry bitter finish. Awesome stuff.
