My parents brought back a bottle of this from Iceland. The beer pours to a glowing amber body with a white head. The aroma is malty with some cereal grains. The flavor is malty with a light banana and stone fruit. Graham crackers. Almost like a barleywine dunkel. Medium bodied and easy drinking.

Some rust though not sure how the thyme or glacier water could oxidize in thousands of years of being frozen like Disney princesses. Tangy mash finish. Bottle at hotel.

Aubrey (3516) - Bellingham, Washington, USA - JUL 7, 2015
Bottle in Hofn. Clear and deep brown with a quickly fading head. Rather malt forward with a light sweetness (toffee) and some toasted elements. Very mild bitterness. Yeast influences were disappointingly faint. Overall, the beer was very drinkable, but it left me no more excited than your typical amber ale.

mmargarucci (343) - Basel, SWITZERLAND - JUN 10, 2015
Pours a pale color. Aroma is herbal and filled with yeast. Taste has lots of roasted malt with slightest hint of thyme and herbs. Decent but nothing special.

Drank on the glacier for which it is named. not much thyme, but overall a good drinkable beer. probably enjoyed more given the surrounding terrain.

larsga (7539) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 3, 2015
Small beige head. Clear brown body. Earthy caramelly spicy aroma with wooden notes. Dry-sweet caramelly herbal spicy taste with earthy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish spicy herbal licorice aftertaste with earthy notes. Nice, drinkable, unusual. (0.33l bottle, at Pakkhusid, Höfn.)

3fourths (9345) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - MAR 15, 2015
UPDATED: APR 19, 2015 Bottle best by August 2015, from Hotel Skaftafell. Clear copper red with a thin ring of a head. Malty and estery aroma of red delicious apples, perfume, bread, and caramel malt with phenols that resemble flint and rubber. Medium-full body, rich and sticky and moderately sweet with low bitterness. Flavor profile resembles apple bake with nutmeg and pumpkin pie spice that doesn’t show in the nose. Thyme doesn’t seem apparent. Finish is syrupy and chewy with sublte herbal hop bitterness. Pretty plain and dull overall, doesn’t objectively seem Belgian in character, but it drinks okay.

gyllenbock (9173) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JUL 28, 2014
Bottle at Bishops Arms Savoy, Malmö. Dark amber with a medium head. Quite sweet with caramel, honey, some dried fruit and berries. The body was medium and the bitterness light. Drinkable.

3.2
Enjoyit (3809) - Vadum, DENMARK - JUL 5, 2014
Amber of color with an off white head. An aroma of mint, sweets and caramel. A flavor of sweet malt, mint, toffee and perfume.
