This lager has some cloudiness and is the color of honey. The off white head is a little bigger than a finger and it lasts a couple of minutes. The aroma is light malt with some honey. Feel has some decent zing. This beer has some dry hops and some soft malt up front. That soon fades leaving some honey. Soon, even that fades and the beer gets watery. It is unfortunate the beer couldn’t maintain the front end. hayduke (5575) - Eureka, California, USA - FEB 23, 2011
From Strykzone via a trade. From the 12 oz bottle this lager poured yellow with small white head and little lacing. Nose of malts and some grassy hops. Light body and not much in the mouthfeel. Flavor is malts and lager, but overall this is pretty bland. Drinkable. Just. heemer77 (5358) - Urbandale, Iowa, USA - APR 15, 2007
UPDATED: JUL 14, 2008 Had this bottled recently, over carbonated. On tap at O’Malley’s pub. This was a pale gold with body with a thin white head. The aroma was the expected bell peppers and potatoes with some earthy notes. However, while sitting 55 feet underground it is hard ot tell how much of that smell is ambient or from the beer. The taste was spicy bell peppers along with some light notes of potatoes. A decent earthy note in the finish. Good for the style. thegreenrooster (4485) - St.louis, Missouri, USA - APR 30, 2010
Pour is a dark yellow with a small white head. Aroma is almost nothing. Maybe some grain. Flavor is a little more grain heavy but still weak and watery with no hop presence. theisti (4157) - Kansas, USA - APR 23, 2007
UPDATED: MAR 26, 2008 On Tap at O’Malley’s pub. Pale gold pour with a not very big white head. Aroma was straight forward, nothing really jumped out. Taste had a bit more complexity than I was expecting, some nice spiciness. Overall, nice drinkable beer.

Draught at the brewery. Yup, another pale lager for the pile. Enough character to make it tasty but nothing really exciting. Refreshing and better than the mass produced lagers out there but just not a lot going on here. SledgeJr (3577) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - MAY 26, 2007
On tap at the 2007 Parkville Microbrew Festival. Pours slightly opaque gold with a thin white head. Seems very fine and delicate. There’s not much here. A nice low hop tartness to the finish. Has a good mouthfeel. Thin quick and fizzy ending. Not bad, just not good either. I’ll pass on this one. kwoeltje (2233) - Manchester, Missouri, USA - JUN 26, 2010
(bottle) dark yellow with small white head. Faint malt aroma. Mild lager malt flavor. Middle of the road lager. topherh (1929) - Kearney, Missouri, USA - JAN 23, 2008
12 oz bottle pours a clear gold with a quickly disappating white head. Odd aroma that I can quite pin down. Metallic ? Flavor is sharp on the tongue with a really funky aftertaste. Not a real pleasant experience. dwaggs2 (1297) - Jefferson City, Missouri, USA - FEB 12, 2009
Bottle. Pours a yellow color with a little white head. Very smooth. Almost a watery taste. Not a whole lot of aromas coming through, maybe a few malts. Not a whole lot here.
