Clear orange/amber, pillowy head fades. Aroma of orange rind, caramel, mild overall. Taste is bitter with resin and herb and has a juicy malt body. Medium thin body, lively carbonation TomDecapolis (4618) - Milton, Delaware, USA - MAR 3, 2013
Pours a lightly hazy deep amber with golden notes and a medium bubbly off white head that left sticky lacing. Aroma of tea, light caramel, earthy hops and lightly toasted malt. Flavor of iced tea with a hint of lemon, lightly toasted malt and cheerios. Not my kind of IPA. deyholla (11486) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAR 3, 2013
Bottle. Pours a near clear amber gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma is full of bread with a bit of a buttery note with just a hint of earthy grassy hops. Flavor also has a strong bread note with a bit of butter and just a hint of earthy grassy hops. jeremyh70 (1103) - Missouri, USA - JAN 13, 2013
Clear dark amber with some red hues. Small head and little lacing. Malt and caramel aroma with lemongrass. Grains come through with malt and caramel flavor initially then some grassy and bitter hops. Aspirin taste that I do not like after it sets on your tongue for awhile. Was better cold than after it warmed. Liked the initial flavor but not bitter and aspirin. Bought in six pack of Weston Brewery beers. Drank at home 9/17/12.

Bottle from Bob - thanks! Pours a dark, muddy red/brown with spots of white foam in a slick. Aroma is light toasted caramel with minimal pine and malt sweetness. Taste is minimal bitterness with slight pine and a toasty caramel or light char aspect like a mini-arrogant bastard of sorts. Some lingering hop bitterness and a clean. lightly coating mouthfeel. Doesn’t smell or taste like an IPA - more like a lower alcohol strong ale if there is such a thing. Okay.

I bought a sampler 12 pack of Weston beers and this was the best. Sadly, that’s not much of an accomplishment. Fairly aggressive hops and a bit unbalanced. An unpleasant astringency at the end of the taste. Aroma is decent. berrya785 (441) - Kansas, USA - NOV 8, 2012
12 oz bottle poured into a pint glass. Pours a clear golden orange with a nice white head. Aroma is grains and malts with some citrus. Taste is semi-sweet with malts and grains not much bitterness. Pretty good. kdm1984 (814) - Missouri, USA - SEP 23, 2012
O’Malley’s IPA - Deep copper with decent head and lacing. Aroma is some perfumey hops, sweet malts, and little else; pretty understated for an IPA, actually. There’s also a slight diacetyl quality I don’t like, and which shouldn’t be present in the IPA style. Mouthfeel - very weak and watery. Hops and bready malt are present, but not at the level an IPA should be - this is barely stronger than the McNellie’s Pub Ale Bitter I had today! 89 IBUs, seriously? I do not buy it. Drinkable, but very poor example of the style. This Weston, MO brewery has yet to impress me - their Brown Ale was not especially good, and neither is this. notalush (5866) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JUL 19, 2012
Bottle purchased in Kansas - cloudy amber - soapy head - this is definitely one for fans of more malt-forward ipas, as a thick, sweet, doughy malt character swallows up the hop bitterness throughout - the hop flavor is there, but is more of an earthy/leafy flavor with only low amounts of the acids detectable - this almost makes this taste more like a watered down american-style barleywine than an ipa - it’s not bad, just kind of muted. high_on_hops (809) - Burlingame, California, USA - JUL 10, 2012
Marked as Weston Brew Labs No. 1 India Pale Ale. It pours a clear amber color with an off-white head and lacing. The aroma isn't too hoppy, with a bit of resin and some amber malt. The flavor is mildly hoppy up front with a medium malt backbone and balanced finish.
