COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
O’Malley’s IPA is another beer that started out as a Brew Labs 22oz. This IPA is built for wider appeal than some of its cousins. With 7.5% abv and 89 IBU it still has all that you expect from an IPA, but with a smoother finish than one might expect.

22 oz. bottle via BA trade. Pours a clear amber color with a small off white film. The aroma is rather mild overall and contains floral, soapy and herbal notes. There is a sweetness to the nose as well. The flavor has a pale malt base, light caramel, grassy, herbal with a hint of citrus. There is mild bitterness in the finish. Perhaps this could use a touch more carbonation to bring out the flavors a little more.

Sampled at the 7th Annual Parkville Microbrew Festival on April 24th, 2010. Pours orange amber with a white head. Good aroma of citrus and oine. I get orange and chocolate flavors mixed with the competent hop bitterness.

(22oz bomber thanks to Mora2000) clear amber with lasting white head and great lacing. Nose of candi sugar, citrus hops, oranges, and yeast. Taste of bitter orange peel, bread, brown sugar, unique hoppy beer. Creamy finish that is bready.

thanks Nelson for the share. pours golden, white head. aroma, thin hops, the malt was more present, light toasted and some orange peel. flavors, profile is definitely more malty with subdued hops, get some tangerine, simcoe hops, touch of caramel, some cardboard. Not bad, just a tad too heavy on the malts.

(bottle) orange amber with generous off white head. Moderate pine/grass/citrus aroma. Flavor is pine/floral hops with decent malt backbone- well balanced overall. Quite a nice IPA.
