COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
O’Malley’s SunRye’s Ale is the perfect beer drinker’s summer brew. Not a watered down seasonal substitute, SunRye’s offers a complex combination of the ruddy malts and gives the smoothest finish yet. It’s about time summer had a real beer.

Light golden color with a modest white head. Dusty pale malt and honey aromas. Light sweet malt and toasted white bread flavors. Generic bitterness kicks in mid quaff and intensifies into the linger along with a bit of citric acidity. 1/11

Can. Poured a clear copper color with a fair head. Aroma of citrus, rye and grain. Taste of rye, bit of malt sweetness and grain. Mild bitterness and a fairly dry finish. Light body, smooth with very little carbonation. Not very a interesting beer.

12oz can, from Lukas Liquor. Shared with robotopera. Sticker-on-can label, with no date. Thin off-white head. Decent bits of lace. Caramel malt, light spicy hop (but not much), and a good bit of rye. Medium plus body. Smooth, kind of soft, lightly creamy lighter carbonation, with a light dry finish. Moderate sweet taste, light bitterness. Decent rye kinda mildly hoppy amber ale. Bigger caramel malt, and mild hop makes me think that this might be a bit older, but I dig the texture, it’s drinkable, that saves it.

Bottle. Pours a golden orange color with white head. Spicy, earthy, grainy, bready, slight grassy aromas. Earthy, grainy, spicy, slight veggie flavors. Another subpar effort by Weston.

The beer pours a golden color with a white head. The aroma has a lot of rye and grain. The flavor is similar. I get some orange and biscuit notes, as well as some spice from the rye. Low bitterness. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Clear golden pour with a white head. The aroma has some decent rye, but also a little skunk. It has a light, thin body with flat carbonation. The taste has some mild bitterness and a somewhat dry finish.

Clear and tan with a one finger white head and fair lace, some rising bubbles. Smell is grainy and lightly sweet, nothing particularly special. Taste is grainy with grassy and sweet notes. Feels pretty thin and could use a bit more carbonation. Overall I’m not too impressed with this one.
