On tap @ OMB. Pours a touch hazy golden appearance with a white head. Lot of Pils malt. Dry. Herbal. Cracker. Lightly to moderately spicy hops. Some lemon in the flavor. Grassy and a touch chewy. Mostly dry. Herbal / earthy hops on the finish. Im not getting much of any residual sugar. Quite dry. Solid.

On draft from the Carolina Beer Company in the Charlotte airport. Pours a nice pale gold with minimal white lacing that retains well. Nose is not assertive, but in a bit stuffed up. Taste is grassy hops, a little bready malts. Decent pilsner. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: FEB 7, 2014 Draft at GABF 2013. A too-sweet, under-hopped Americanized Pilsner with syrupy and chewy malt. High sugar plus low acid = flabby, limp body. Has not glaring flaws, only wildly out of balance, under-attenuated and cloying, and suffering from a thin body, especially in the finish.

Bottle in Asheville, February 2014: pretty much the same.

Sample @ GABF 13. Clear golden pour, thin white head. Aroma is rather skunky, malty and grainy. Flavour is very thin, not so bitter as other pilseners. Very short finish, watery mouthfeel. Not impressive.

Bottle, bought from Bruisin Ales in Asheville. Pours a pale golden with a voluminous white head, like whipped cream that linger and lingers. Aroma is grainy and bready with a touch of woody/earth hops (Hersbrucker or Spalt?). Taste is gry grainy malts, some sweetness in the background and a nice tang of hoppiness. Medium light in the body, clean, long dry finish. Nice beer.

22oz bottle from beer study. Bottled 11.16.12. Pours a fairly clear yellow straw color with light carbonation and minimal white lace. Nose is toast, biscuit, cereal, light grass, plastics, diacetyl, grainy. Flavor is lightly bitter, lightly sweet--some cereal and light vegetal notes, two day old mowed grass, and ends sweet with spoiled veggies and oaky Granny Smith apples. Diacetyl comes on heavier as it warms and breathes a bit. Too bad.
