PorterPounder (8074) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - JUN 8, 2012
Tallahassee, Fl - New Leaf Market - 12 oz bottle. Pours a sparkling light golden with a light blanket of a white head and excellent bubble action. Aroma leaves much to be desired with hints of dish soap, some wet paper bag, a touch of black pepper. Flavor is a mess. Some odd ripening vegetable notes, some black paper, some dusty copper pennies. Mouthfeel is thin and distant. Passable if you had to drink it.

Hermod (8044) - Vantaa, FINLAND - MAR 8, 2014
355ml bottle from C-Market Tammisto, Vantaa. Pale golden color, thin white head. Grainy malt, slightly sweet, hay in aroma. Flavor quite similar, mostly grain. Weak overall flavorwise, watery as well. Quite bulky stuff really.

Marduk (7918) - Reval, ESTONIA - MAY 19, 2014
355ml bottle, thanks FatPhil. Clear pale yellow color. Tiny ring shape head, disappears. Malts, honey, watery aroma. Very mild hops, watery, sweetish taste. Typical macrolager. Taste is not offensive, but very boring and dull.

FROTHINGSLOSH (7879) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 17, 2016
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bright yellow-gold color with a medium sized fluffy white head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was sour, tangy, macro lager with citrus and perfume underneath. The flavor was grainy, citric and bitter with floral and herbal hops and an off presence. Long finish. Medium body. Not good.

lusikka (7814) - Tampere, FINLAND - FEB 19, 2014
330 ml bottle.
Pours a golden colour without a head. Aroma of metals, mild grainy notes and some pungent grassiness. Very mild flavour of grains, grassy bitterness, mild fruitiness, wet paper and strong lemon. Light bodied, soft carbonation and thin mouthfeel. A very simple lager which goes well with food.

Appearance: Pours slightly cloudy straw yellow with a small white head and spotty lacing

Not bad, easy drinking.

Bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is medium yellow. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (toasted grain, cereal), lightly to moderately hoppy (flowers, herbs), with light notes of DMS and soap. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter, slightly husky. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. I really dreaded trying this because...well...for one, it’s Widmer. Secondly, it’s a gluten-free beer, and gluten-free beers almost always suck. Hard. But just as Redbridge is surprisingly one of the more passable GF examples (from an even worse brewery), this beer is better than the bulk of its brethren. It’s toasty, it’s hoppy, it’s flaws are minor, and it’s...believe it or not...drinkable. In fact, if you didn’t tell me it was GF, I probably wouldn’t even know. No, it’s not going to compete with good lagers out there...this is basically on the level of Full Sail Session Lager or something like that, but still...good grief, you can do a LOT, LOT worse in this field (Sprecher Shakparo, anyone???). If I had to go GF, I would have no problem having one of these once in awhile (when I wasn’t drinking wine instead). The Omission website says these brews may contain gluten, since they *are* brewed with barley and such. So...ummm....hmmm.

Geokkjer (7627) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAR 7, 2014
Bottle. Pours clear golden with an off-white head. Aroma of hay, malt, some fruitiness and herbs. FLavor is sweet and fruity with some hay, malt and some bitterness. Medium to thin body, average carbonation.

larsga (7567) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 1, 2014
Small white head. Clear yellow body with light carbonation. Light fruity sugary aroma with floral notes. Dry floral resiny taste with fruity grainy notes. Thin-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dry grainy mealy aftertaste with wooden notes. Well, they didn’t leave much in this one, so must have omitted quite a lot. Boring (0.33l bottle, CC Mat, Lillehammer.)

Finn (7547) - Tromsø, NORWAY - MAY 1, 2014
Flaske 0,33l fra Eurospar Tomasjord. Lys gylden. Lavt skum som flater fort ut. Litt lacing. Svart fruktig aroma. Smaken det samme. Litt banan. Godt balansert. Svakt syrlig ettersmak.
