12 ounce bottle poured into a pint glass. Orangish amber in color with a thick, frothy, light-tan head. Aroma is pretty beige, just crystal malt and candied orange in a not-so-harmonious union. Flavor is actually, ya know, unterrible. Sure, it tastes like carbonated wort but that’s not so bad. Sweet candied citrus hops round it out a bit, but this is just pure malt sugar. Carbonation is pleasantly airy. Weird beer, not even close to a pale ale, but surprisingly drinkable.

Bottle at Fuel DC. Bold light orange body with medium head. Taste is lager, caramel and sweet. Hoppy nose. Plenty of hops in the taste, also a nice balance of malts. Well done.

[email protected] BF 2013. Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, earthy, floral and also has a strange sweetness to it. Flavour is fruity, floral and some mild bitterness along with a strange sweetness to it. Even though there is this strange sweetness, I find the beer quite highly enjoyable.

Pours a clear amber with a thick off white head...nice head retention. Aroma has earthy and citrushop notes and a bit of caramely malts. Flavor has caramely and toasty malts with nice earthy and citrus hops...good bitterness...a bit piney. Mouthfeel is medium/full and a bit resinous with an earthy/piney dry finish. Really good for a gluten free beer.

Wasn’t sure about this "gluten free" stuff. Thought maybe there would be some kind of sacrifice in at least 1 of the 4 categories. But this beer holds up very well. Beautiful clear amber colour. Looks like a consume. Vibrant herbal and floral aroma. Medium to heavy bodied. Big flavours start to finish. Good stuff.

(Rating #5211)

This pale ale is tricky. The stench of an IPA, but very soft easy going finish. If this were a first date ... It would call you for a second. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz. bottled Jul 16th. Slight haze on the orange-amber body and a creamy disc of bubbles on top. Aroma of soapy orange zest, butterscotch and floral hop with a hint of resin. Taste is caramel, zesty orange and tangerine with a slight note of resin on the finish. Light body is soft and oily but finishes dryish. I would prefer less carbonation, but this is the best gluten-free beer of the handful I’ve tried.

Light aroma: caramel/sweet, herbal hops. Sweetish flavor; a tiny bit of grainy/bread flavor. General fruity hop flavor.Subtle wierd green apple-ish flavor in aftertaste. I think this is the first gluten-free "beer" than can pass for a beer.

Aroma of caramel and grain. Transparent amber color. Poured with almost no head. Lively carbonated mouthfeel. Caramel malt slightly more powerful than the dry hoppy bitterness. The bitterness leaves your mouth slightly puckering and seems dry in the finish. Hop flavor Is citrusy and grapefruity. Body is medium low and last pretty much throughout. Very crisp and refreshing moderately bitter amber pale ale which I would not suspect is gluten free. I will recommend to all gluten free drinkers.
