Big Hunt, DC goblet ($8): Pours a darkish color for a saison with a creamy like head, but maybe that was because it was all draft-like. Smells a bit saisonish. I would have thought this would have been classified as a BA if I had smelled it right off. Basically, you got your yeast and your fruitiness. Taste is pretty much up the same alley. Kind of boring straight up saison/BPA. maybe I eat too much white pepper to notice it. In any case happy Belgian Independence day. durhambeer (2585) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - SEP 5, 2011
Draft from the Thirsty Monk in Asheville. Pours a little lighter than Hennepin, I think. Thin white head. Pilsner-like notes. Grassy, even metallic hops. Lots of white pepper. Pretty boring, but maybe it just suffered beside the other two awesome saisons I had the same day. TJay7481 (96) - Altamonte Springs, Florida, USA - SEP 3, 2011
Pours golden yellow with a medium head and nice lacing. Smells of spice and clove with mild yeast aroma. Light hop flavor with clove, grass and maybe a little white pepper. A nice floral and sweet finish. Pretty good saison. blipp (9790) - La Mesa, California, USA - AUG 17, 2011

Taste: Metallic hops, fruit, dry spicy yeast, clove.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied, modest carbonation, slightly astringent.

Tap at Palm Tavern. The beer pours to a hazy straw colored body with a starch white head. The aroma is clean grain and a crisp yeast. Lemons and lemongrass with notes of pepper and pineapple. The flavor is fruity with pineapple and lemon grass. Heavy yeast and sharp up front. Very heavy on the fruit esters. The palate is sweet and medium bodied with a long finish. White pepper is there. Drying. bb (9789) - Alamo, California, USA - AUG 9, 2011

Served on draft at Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA on 7/21/11. Pours a hazy orange color with a large creamy tan head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of bread, spice and candi sugar. The taste is bready malts, citrus, banana, bitter herbal notes and faint spice. Medium bodied. Refreshing. tmoreau (4678) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - AUG 1, 2011
On tap at Lunar Brewing Co. as a 12 oz. serving with a clear, golden hue, and white, frothy head foam that blanketed the sides until it finally settled to a large ring & film, and plenty of clingy, etched-like lacing. The aroma started with just a hint of yeasty funk, then some sugary sweetness, lemon, a touch of banana & clove, and soft malt. The flavor added some light tartness, and low hop that partnered with peppery notes to create a lingering bitterness and substantial dryness through the finish. The body was on the light side, maybe a bit watery to me, but nicely effervescent, and an altogether flavorful Saison. Dogbrick (14009) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JUL 31, 2011
On draught at Bodega. This beer is a hazy golden color with a medium thick fluffy white head that burns away slowly. Patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of fruit, yeast and grassy hops. Light body with a sweet spiced character and notes of yeast, fruit and hops. The finish is fruity with a bit of bubblegum left behind. Above average overall.
