Cabeza alta y duradera muy cremosa, color caramelo, sabor y aroma indescriptible, complejidad absoluta... Deliciosa.. rnlanders (11) - Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA - NOV 13, 2012
Sour smelling and tasting, a little sweet. Ruddy brown in color. Much fizzier than I expected, with a long finish - carbonation overpowers the flavor a bit. Bitter in the back of the throat, but not overwhelmingly so. Jajoro (11) - Redondo Beach, California, USA - JUL 11, 2002
New York City? What does anyone in NYC know about Belgian Beer? Alot, by the overall experience with this wonderfully rich and robust version. Kudos! phiktion (11) - , Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 12, 2008
Enjoy this beer alot, had a very good taste, very enjoyable, highly recommend trying this out, split it between 2 other friends, so about 1 glass per person, good amount of alchohol. ssb2much (10) - New Jersey, USA - JAN 6, 2011
This is one of the highest rated beers for a reason. Such a great taste. Stronger then your common run-of-the-mill beer weeds out the binge drinkers. This is not a chugging beer and should be enjoyed with no rush.
Also, it’s slightly better on tap.

This is a smooth drinking strong ale. Wonderful aroma and flavor is nice given the 8.5% alcohol content. An enjoyable brew! WhatDidIDrink (10) - , Utah, USA - JUL 7, 2008
This is complex. Its fruity, but I could not quite pin down the fruit. Definitely some fig, date, plum kind of stuff going on, but I could swear I sensed some pear. Nice finish with a little fig aftertaste, but not sweet. Their is no discernible alcohol flavor in this higher gravity brew.

Dark and musky. Looks can be deceiving to the tongue. A great start, peak, and finish. Deep aroma and subtle vapors.
