750 mL bottle from Whole Foods Charlottesville. Reddish brown with a medium frothy head. Very fruity aroma... dates, banana, brown sugar. Anise comes through strongly in the taste, with some malty sweetness and fruitiness. Interesting, but this anise is a bit too strong for my taste. Brown copper ale with light moka head. Light coriander and sweet malt in aroma, with vinous qualities. Rich malt and barley sugar with coriander and sour apples. Rich bodied Belgian ale, always a pleaser! Tap at CNY brewfest, Feb.5 2005. crossovert (14359) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 7, 2011
Its got the right stuff, but the flavor is a bit blunt, it isn’t as smoothe and intoxicating as other dubbels. Rune (14169) - Tromsø, NORWAY - SEP 15, 2013
355ml bottle picked up at Nina’s Mini Market. Pours a decent fawn-coloured head over a cloudy, dark brown body. Dried fruity aroma, some apricot to it. Semi-sweet fruity taste, apricots and prunes. Dry bittersweet finish. Fine bodied and smooth on the swallow. Quite nice (hotel room, Edinburgh 11.08.2013).

Solid American version of a Belgian. Sweet, fruity & caramelly malty aroma, and yummy sweet fruity caramel chocolate flavor. Dry finish, though slightly astringent. Quite a delight. Christian (14090) - Odense, DENMARK - MAY 19, 2008
