Poured from expensive bomber - This sort of poured like a beautiful imperial stout, it certainly has enough malt for it! If not for the Belgian-type yeast strain, this very well could have ended up an imperial stout; but, there is no mistaking the influence brought on by the yeast. Overall, an excellent and complex ale. BOLTZ7555 (3028) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - JUL 27, 2012
Dark brownie batter color with a creamy eggshell brew. Just a touch of lacing across the top. Cocoa, Belgian yeast, caramel, toffee, brown sugar and vanilla. Similarly sweet in the flavor...hint of hops. Bit of heartburn brewing...smidge of alcohol noticeable. Good but not mind blowing...don’t think I’d remember this one. Tells you something. hopdog (13249) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 25, 2012
750ml, caged and corked bottle. Poured a dark brown color with an off white head. Aromas of dark fruits, spices, yeast, and some chocolate. Tastes of spices, chocolate, roast, dark fruits, and licorice. JFURYCAT (1078) - East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 24, 2012
This has everything I want in a beer: malty wheat content with a funky belgian yeast and some hoppiness to balance it out. Sweet dark fruits and a finish that lingers. Dry in the back. Not much of a head but the body seems full enough. Yeast gives it a sour twang like with the BPA but this works better because of the malt content. Not that I don’t like funk. maus10 (49) - Arkansas, USA - JUL 23, 2012
I had this beer on tap at 28 Springs in Siloam Springs, AR. This is a limited availability rotating keg at 28 and when the keg runs dry it'll be gone. Caramel on the nose, very Belgian'ish tasting.

On tap at the Lionheart Pub’s "Belgian Independence Night" event. Very dark beer which let no light through. Head was whispy and very light in color. Aroma of burnt sour cherries. Palate of tart black cherry with a fruity sour not on the finish that lingers nicely. Palidor19 (3194) - Brandon, Florida, USA - JUL 22, 2012
this beer reminds me of a cola with a touch of fruit. the palate is thin with high amount of carbonation. the beer is strong and very flavorful. quite extraordinary nick76 (4403) - Tampa, Florida, USA - JUL 22, 2012
The aroma is yeasty and complex with lots of malt and earth with both grassy and herbal hops. The appearance is dark brown with a medium head. The taste is like the aroma. The palate is smooth. Overall it’s good but not great. bleeng (1705) - Houston not near Beersel., Texas, USA - JUL 21, 2012
750 bottle. Pours black with a small tan head. Nose is burnt malts, come chocolate, and a hint of alcohol. Taste is the same with some spiciness and a bit of hotness. Smooth fluffy body. Decent but I was hoping for a bigger body on this one. hellbilly (3306) - scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA - JUL 21, 2012

blackish brown with a soft tan head.
vinous, yeast, spice, rubber (mellow), light tartness, cocoa, ash and phenolic characteristics are in the aroma and flavor. odd sweetness on the palate and a yeasty aftertaste. crisp and rather thin. 6/4/6/3/14
