On tap at the Malt House in Madison, pours black with a tan head and tons of lacing in the glass, the aroma has a very strong chocolate amount with some spices, the spices really come through on the front of this brew with some dark fruit in the finish, I would drink again. Aroma- Dark fruits, figs, raisins, slight alcohol aromas
Appearance- Dark brown with a three finger tan head. Small bubbles that linger.
Taste- Big dark fruit flavors dominate the front of the palate, slight spiciness, and as the beer warms up, the alcohol notes become more noticeable.
Overall- An easy drinking beer that is intense in dark fruit flavors, and intensifies as the temperature increases. swoopjones (7020) - Buffalo, New York, USA - JUN 20, 2012
Draft at blue monk, darker cola colored pour. Surprised that here is no spice added, allspice notes are here. A little Christmas cake notes. Black licorice. Fruity yeast. Sweet but not overly. Pretty good at letting ingredients speak for themselves bluemooner (657) - East Bethel, Minnesota, USA - JUN 19, 2012
