Bottled on 01/19/10. Wish I had gotten to this a few months ago. Pours with a huge rocky head that has good lace over a hazy glowing sunset hued body. Aroma of appricot, tangerine, husky, grainy, sweet, savory zest, estery. Taste, tangarine, mango, Candi sugar residuals, grainy, dry. Very dry with very lively carbonation. bleeng (1682) - Seattle still not near Beersel., Washington, USA - MAY 26, 2010
750 ml bottle. Light gold and hazy. Nose is yeasty with a tinge of hops. Taste is mild hops, Belgian yeast apparent, very effervescent, light body. Very drinkable. Ratman197 (14848) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - MAY 26, 2010
750 ml corked and caged bottle poured a hazy tarnished gold with a lasting off white head. Aromas of biscuit, yeast, grapefruit and light earthines. Palate was light to medium bodied and crisp. Flavors of biscuit, earthiness, grapefruit and light yeast with a crisp lightly biter finish. AskForJenny (1086) - Ontario, New York, USA - MAY 25, 2010
0.75l - Too often I find when a brewer steps out of its comfort zone it clings too much to the basic style. This ale combines the sour, yeasty notes with the malty, floral, hoppy character of a Pale Ale without being one more than the other. This was truly a blend of two styles. Deep cloudy orange with a solid, slightly pillowy small bubbled head. Nose of leather, lemon, light phenols, some spice, citrus hops. Flavor is nicely dry hopped, lemon peel, toasted malts, light bread. Body feels a little heavy for style. I would drink this again, but wish the flavor was as lively as the nose.

Bottle. Pours hazy dark yellow with an average, creamy white head, mostly lasting with excellent lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (bread, cookie, hay, straw), average hops (flowers, grass), average yeast (dough, earth) with notes of alcohol and pear. Medium bodied, creamy texture, and average carbonation. Average duration, light sweetness, acidity, and bitterness. rocbyter (2124) - Waterbury, Connecticut, USA - MAY 20, 2010
Yeasty aroma with hints of hops. Cloudy golden color with a small white head. Light bitter beginning with a tart finish. 17thfloor (2443) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 19, 2010
Bottle. I’m not so sure about the citrus and tropical fruit stuff. It seemed like straight noble to me. If someone had told me this was from Belgium I would have believe it without doubt. Not super hoppy but really in a great balance, plenty of banana all the way around. Would love to have this one draft. Pailhead (6540) - Rochester Hills, Michigan, USA - MAY 19, 2010
Bottle: The aroma consists of banana, pineapple, pepper, citrus and floral hops. It pours a mostly transparent amber, just a touch of haze, with lots of fine sediment and a half inch off-white head with decent retention. The flavor with pineapple and a some light lemon. There is some faint banana in the background. The finish is light-moderate citrus and floral hops, pepper, and light acidity. Light-medium bodied with lively, but mostly soft, carbonation. bhensonb (15228) - Woodland, California, USA - MAY 19, 2010
750 c&c from Monument in Concord, CA. Pours hazy orange gold with a good foamy off-white head. Rich fruity aroma with a touch of spice. Medium body with harsh, foamy carbonation. Flavor is a rush of fruit, then something spice, then quite bitter. It all goes pretty fast. Very good beer.
