Aroma: The nose has Belgian yeast, some citrus hops, other fruity notes, grains, funk, and spice
Appearance: It pours a heavy cloudy golden color with a small, bubbly white head and spotty lace
Flavor: The taste is similar to the nose, with lots of yeasty flavors, a good amount of spice, plenty of fruit, a little bit of funk, a light-medium bitterness, and something just a bit too herbal to the finish
Palate: The body is medium, has an average carb, and a fairly dry, slightly "off" feel to the finish
I thought this one was really solid, particularly in the nose. The taste is still nice, but not quite as interesting as the nose, and it falls off just a touch in quality in the end palate. Still though, a very solid, well-made beer, from a collaboration that makes a ton of sense.
On tap 4 oz. pour at Meridian Pint in Columbia Heights, Washington, DC.
Clear, bright straw-yellow off-white head and good lacing.
Aroma of fruit (apple, lemon, pear, citrus and melon), grain, funk, yeast, coriander, pepper, cloves and allspice.
Taste of fruit, yeast, grain, funk, coriander, pepper, cloves and allspice.
Medium/light body and medium/low carbonation.

This is a very nice Belgian Ale made outside of Belgium. The brewery, Ommegang has done an excellent job, and they are now part of the Duvel family. Very floral grass tasting hops, nice hay malt, and this is enjoyable to drink slowly. Elwood (3336) - Leesburg, Virginia, USA - NOV 30, 2012
Serving: Draft at Fire Works Leesburg. It pours a hazy light gold with a small white head. Spicy Belgian yeast nose with light bubble gum notes. The flavor leans towards the sweet side with lots of bubble gum. Light florals and a bit of grain emerge as it warms. Light to medium body with soft carbonation. Decent.

spice, grass, floral and yeasty nose. Good solid beer, slight astringency on the finish, but is fantastic with food. drowland (8827) - Georgia, USA - NOV 29, 2012
11/29/12. 750mL bottle from Grassroots. Very small pop when the cork frees. Hasy orange pour with a small soapy off-white head that fades but laces plenty. Banana, sweet sugars, bubblegum, and a funky phenolic aspect in the aroma. Sweet fruity flavor with lots of maltiness, sweet sugars, orange, and a touch of yeastiness. Very sweet and cloying. Underwhelming. ngeunit1 (1555) - Waltham, Massachusetts, USA - NOV 28, 2012
A - Pours a cloudy golden-yellow with a finger of frothy white head. The head fades down at a normal pace leaving behind some lacing.
S - Aroma is a mix of grainy and wheat malts with orange and lemon zest, coriander, Belgian yeast, banana, clove, pepper, and a bit of biscuit.
T - Starts off with a mix of sweet grainy and wheat malts with some lemon and orange zest, coriander, and pepper. Through the middle, some more Belgian yeast flavors come through with some clove, banana, and some other farmhouse flavors, with some grassy hops and mild bitterness. The finish is a mix of sweet grainy malts, Belgian yeast, coriander, pepper, and other spices, and some grassy hops.
M - Medium-plus bodied with heavy carbonation. Feels smooth with a dry, estery, and spicy finish.
D - Very drinkable. Nice bold but balanced BSPA. Good yeast character. Beerman6686 (6607) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 28, 2012
This one poured a cloudy lighter yellow color with a white head. Almost looked like a wit. Aroma was lots of spices, corander and chamomille, yeast and lemons. Flavor was much the same, almost lemon limey, with strong yeast notes and light rustic taste. Decent. sonnycheeba (6126) - Federal Hill, Baltimore, Maryland, USA - NOV 27, 2012
