Tap at Max’s Taphouse. Pours hazy pale gold with a medium, frothy white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is pear and apple esters with citrus hops and biscuit malt. Flavor is malt forward with light hops and bitterness, fruity esters barnyard yeast and a sweet finish. Medium body and carbonation. boxofrane (2553) - Spring City, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 27, 2012
Draft at craft ale house. Pours fairly clear straw yellow with a finger of white head. The aroma has a nice mix of citrus and belgian yeast. The taste is dry, lemon citrus with a drier finish. There is a hop presence in the background. Interesting. DocLock (10836) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 26, 2012
Draft at Craft Ale House. Pours gold with white head and lively carbonation. Nose is hopcitrus, funky yeasty esters. Tastes dry, effervescent, with hops and citrus up front and late mild funk and yeasty florals. BOLTZ7555 (3027) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - NOV 22, 2012
10 karat gold pour with a dense ivory foam. Candied orange, yeast, honey baked biscuit, lemon, pepper, and pine. Medium mouthfeel. Pretty tasty but nothing terribly noteworthy. reggiedunlop (3725) - The dub c, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 17, 2012
Pours clear pale yellow with a medium white head...lively. aroma has light fruity notes...juicyfruit...and very mild grassy spice. Flavor steps up the grassy/spicy hoppiness...good balance with the fruitiness...faint clovey notes. Mouthfeel is light and lively with a slightly boozy dry grassy/spicy finish.

A golden yellow color with a fluffy white head that rose two+ fingers to fill the glass. A good amount of active carbonation. The nose is of soft floral hops, grass, and bubble gum. Light bready notes, hay, and honey round out the profile. On the palate, noble hops up front with bubble gum through the middle with a subtle spice. Doughy yeast sweeps in with grass and floral qualities before a semi-dry finish. Some hints of pear and apple skins poke through as it warms. Light bodied with sturdy carbonation. Dry finish, crisp with some lingering grass/earth notes. This is a fine golden ale reminiscent of its brother, but with obvious nods to American ingredients. Highly enjoyable. pete4999 (1445) - Buffalo, New York, USA - NOV 15, 2012
Bottle. Pours a hazy, bubbly golden yellow. Somewhat opaque, I guess. Smells strongly of lemon, orange peel, pepper, spices. Good beer, easy to drink and you don’t taste the alcohol in it until you’re finished with it. drfabulous (8224) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - NOV 15, 2012
750 bottle. Slightly spicy. Dry. The yeast flavor is nice with some apple and pear. I don’t get the negatie reviews. bgburdman9 (865) - columbus, Ohio, USA - NOV 13, 2012
Poured very pale with a small head. Aroma was yeast and phenolic with some spiciness. Doesn’t finish very clean on the palate. Lingers brokensail (16609) - Dublin, California, USA - NOV 11, 2012
Pale golden orange color with a big white head. Nice yeasty nose, plenty of pear and apple, some coriander spiciness, and a bready malt base. Hints of alcohol and citrus zest. The flavor is a little boozy and phenolic. Spicy, some coriander, and a bit of apple and pear ester. Somewhat chalky on the finish. Sweet bread, pale malt, and sugar. Meh at best.
