A - Nice gold clarity, although a few specs of yeast or hops still floating around
S - Smells like granny smith apples, grape skins and juicy juice box juice.
T - Sweet, hint of funkiness and some barnyard with a very almost ashtray like finish. Very moldy / muddy, could be confused with earthy but nope. Great start just like Duvel. Finish is not forgettable in a bad way.
M - Nice carbonation
O - It’s a shame this isn’t very good. Not a drain pour but close.
If I am going to drink a beer above eight percent, I expect more flavor. Pours light gold, thin, and with a tiny amount of head. The flavor seemed synthetic. Yes, that description is not very qualitative, but synthetic was the term that came to mind. Not my thing. Bottle - Leon’s Full Service - Decatur, GA jkwood04 (5452) - Connecticut, USA - MAR 28, 2013
750ml bottle in a Trappist glass. Pours cloudy golden with a lacy, white head. Aroma of spicy yeast, a lot of banana, some floral hops, and pale malts. Flavor about the same, with a nice blend of everything but a little too much banana. Average texture. A decent Belgian style beer. JK (6230) - St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA - MAR 26, 2013
Full bodied. Opaquw yellow. Lacing foam. Coriander and bitter hops with Belgian yeast. Some sugar and pear. Good. kayres (888) - , Georgia, USA - MAR 24, 2013
Hazy golden. Thin white head. Applely aroma. Sweet lemony, banana and a bit of wheat. Finishes a bit winey

750ml bottle Pours slightly hazy hold with average, frothy white head; good retention and lacing. Aroma is oranges, straw, banana, biscuit and cookie malt, lemon, and cloves. Flavor is sweet malt forward with light fruit esters and floral hops and light herbs; lightly sweet finish. Light body and medium carbonation blutt59 (6573) - Dallas, Texas, USA - FEB 28, 2013
On tap, golden yellow pour with white foam, a better Duvel than Duvel, bright fruity flavors with interesting funky yeast aroma, clean finish Beerdrinker79 (2188) - Idaho, USA - FEB 23, 2013
750 ml. corked n’ caged bottle- Pours cloudy golden with a one finger white head. Aroma is very yeasty, pepper. Taste is very creamy and delicious, yeasty, peppery, not much barnyard which is what I was hoping for, but this is good, classic tasting. Body is medium, carbonation is medium, finish is creamy and mouth coating. Overall I am not going to go into if this is better than regular old Duvel, which is a wonderful beer. This beer deserves it’s own identity in my opinion, I loved it, very classic Belgian taste, drinkable as hell (whatever that means!), awesome and I would definitely have this again.
