The aroma is malty yeasty and cheesy. The appearance is cloudy gold with a small head. The taste is like the aroma. The palate is typical. Overall decent. seymour (2096) - Maplewood, Missouri, USA - FEB 1, 2013
Sampled on tap at the 2nd annual Urban Chestnut Wolpertinger party in a dimple mug. It poured a cloudy light amber colour. Clean, grainy malt flavor balanced by a stronger than expected hops bitterness. Strong black pepper phenol and Belgian yeast aftertastes. Light body, moderate carbonation, thin mouthfeel. Some alcohol warmth. I expected to love this beer, but it was only good not great. boozedude (2228) - Des Moines, Iowa, USA - JAN 31, 2013

Light malt aroma with a crisp fruitiness. Clear golden color with a medium white head. Light beginning with a moderate sweet late middle that slowly fades to a mild bitterness in the finish.

Light yellow color with a white head. Sweet, malty, citrus aroma. Malty, hoppy, dry flavor. Pretty good. Nephilium (1821) - Cleveland, Ohio, USA - JAN 20, 2013
Starts with an earthy aroma, pours a clear light yellow with a towering white head. The flavor is light, with earthy notes, more bitterness then I expected, and a touch of light fruit. Very light on the palate, with a lingering earthy bitterness. This is an interesting one, not sure I’ll pick it up regularly, but it’s a decent change of pace. bp (939) - New York, New York, USA - JAN 19, 2013

Bottle split with Devin at Erawan. Pours cloudy gold with a little white head and lacing. Nose of sweet malts, bread and honey. Does not taste like 8.5% not as boozy as Duvel. Sweet malt and honey, mild citrus, some spice and funk from the yeast.
