Corked bottle and served in Duvel snifter: Pours a deep clean golden hue with a lasting fizzy head and very good lace. The aroma has notes of banana, clove, grains of paradise, biscuit, honey and caramel with grassy and slightly spicy hops. There is a bit of plastic-ish vapour but nothing off putting. The taste is initially quite Belgian with fruity and grainy overtones and a touch of herbal notes. Earthy and woody dry before the spicy finish. Seems more boozy that the ABV lets on, I would have guessed 10+ for this. I did expected more farmhouse notes as well. The mouth feel is sharp and aggressive, a tad minerally and band-aid too. Overall it is okay but I honestly am a tad disappointed considering how much I love Duvel and like Ommegang. Reminds me how I was disappointed in the Brasserie d’Achouffe and Ommegang collaboration beer as well. jercraigs (10374) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 4, 2013
2013-04-19. Hazy golden yellow body with a modest white head. 3++ Sort of musty grassy lemony aroma. Flavour is similar, dry, lightly alcoholic throughout, grassy, floral, vaguely funky. Average plus palate. Finishes quite dry and alcoholic. Decent but doesn’t really make me want a second bottle. Bottle from Premier Gourmet, Buffalo anders37 (26625) - Malmö, SWEDEN - MAY 6, 2013

Bottle: Hazy straw, thin to moderate white foamy head, little lacing. Sweaty barnish aroma, slight pale breadiness. Also has a dank floral note to it as well. Very bright breadiness on the tongue.
Seems to be very dank, have a dull floral aspect, with a strong bright pale breadiness aspect. Comes across as a little mealy, American like. Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full. Seems to finish like a bastardised
version of a Belgian Golden. Could stand to be more floral. As is decent. mike5326 (1754) - virginia beach, Virginia, USA - AUG 21, 2013

Pours hazy gold into a tulip. Bright white head with medium retention recedes to mottle surface. Sweet caramel and dough aromas. Sweet hay and sourdough upfront turning to soured bitter earth in the lasting finish. bgburdman9 (861) - columbus, Ohio, USA - NOV 13, 2012
Poured very pale with a small head. Aroma was yeast and phenolic with some spiciness. Doesn’t finish very clean on the palate. Lingers DocLock (10683) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 26, 2012
