Duvel Rustica Golden Ale is our long-anticipated collaboration with Duvel. It’s our first Belgian-style Golden Ale, a elegant ale noted for using simple ingredients to create complex flavors and aromas. We worked closely with Duvel on the recipe and processes, yet added our own signature notes. This Duvel collaboration created a fine ale, one with all the depth and breadth of Duvel’s classic Belgian Golden Ale, along with rustic notes, including fruity esters from our yeast. In keeping with our rustic farmstead roots, Rustica pours a golden hue, the aroma and flavor mixes maltiness and citrus from hops while the yeast produces notable fruitiness. The body is lean and rounded, while the finish offers dry warmth & firm hop bitterness.

Draft. Aroma is very apple and yeast. The appearance is a hazy golden. The taste is of crisp apple that rolls into a light, fruity yeast flavor. The palate is nice. Overall, a refreshing beer that would be good for summer. Would buy on draft, but prolly not bottled. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Finally something from Ommegang that isnt overrated. Pours clear orange. Medium to high carbonation. Floral hops, light brett and spice in aroma. Taste has a nice tang and leaves with a touch sour and bitter. Nice, balanced beer. Tap at Slows.

Pours a slightly hazy pale golden color. The head dissipates rather quickly unlike a Duvel. Aroma is pretty flat. Taste is of slight citrus and yeast. Very little hop notes. Mouthfeel is not as carbonated as a Duvel. Decent beer. Would Rather have either a Duvel or something different from Ommegang.

750ml Bottle. The pour was a hazy yellow amber with an average (1-2 finger) white creamy head that reduced to a thin film and medium collar, with very good sheets of lacing. The aroma was of a light grain malt, floral hops and a musty Belgian yeast with notes of citrus (lemon), green apple, pears and a touch of coriander. The taste was mildly sweet and very fruity from the get go and pretty much lasted throughout, progressing slightly with a bold yeast presence along with a spicy citrus taste towards the finish. The flavor hung around for a good long while following the swallow, with a nice citrus yeast taste that was complemented by a mellow alcohol warming sensation. Mouthfeel was just past light in body with a mildly dry yet creamy texture and a carbonation that just went beyond mild in intensity. Overall I have to say this brewer never seems to disappoint, and this is no exception. This beer is a fantastic representation of a Belgian Golden Ale with a great taste and superb drinkability... www.facebook.com/KAJIIsBeerRevi

Bouteille 750ml.

Tap at Busters. Slightly hazy yellow pour with a clingy pure white head. Nose is yeast and citrus. Soft and delicate. Smooth palate with just a touch of hop edge. Wonderful Belgian ale.

Interesting beer that combines characteristics of both breweries. A fruity sweetness that has lots of apples combined with a heavy triple like flavor with some light skunky grassy flavors. Interesting and I liked it.
