COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Nothing is more evocative of summer than the beautiful aroma of flowers, and the favored flowers of brewers are hops. Our brand new summer ale, Fleur de Houblon (Hop Flowers), is brewed to bring the many elements of summer into a refreshing and easy-to-drink Belgian-style ale. Fleur de Houblon is a rich gold color with distinct floral hops in the aroma that follow through in the taste. Whole-cone Bravo hops are used to impart their earthy, fruity, and floral aromas and flavors. The body and flavor are clean and dry, with pleasing complexity and spicy notes from both primary and secondary fermentation with our unique Ommegang house yeast.

Thin bright white head of fine bubbles with great carbonation. Light citrusy and grassy aroma with some dried flowers, lemon and light grains. Color is a clear bright gold. Moderate bitterness in the flavor with some dandelion leaves, mint, lemon grass and claky grains. Lively in the mouth from all of the carbonation. Finishes dry and slightly citrus bitter. A pretty good belgian summer ale.

Very nice. Smooth. Floral is the name of the game here, in aroma and flavor. Solid Belgian yeast underpinning. Recommended. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clean floral scent with a background of citrus. Prickly carb, vibrant. Hazy, cloudy with sediment. Few fingers of foam. Sweetish middle on the tongue with biscuit and Belgian yeast. Finishes dry with a floral/earthy lingering effect.

despite the name, not too overly hoppy of a belgian pale. pours beautiful yellow and foamy. aroma like a white wine, and belgian yeast perfume. dry finish and taste like a champagne w/ bitter lemon peel and yeast. refreshing, but pretty standard. probably is a ton better really fresh.

sawbuck (724) - Round Lake, Illinois, USA - JUN 4, 2014
Nice complex spice aromas, some sour citrus, and candies and some hops. Golden in color, cloudy with a huge white head you can rest a bottle cap on. Rich spicy sweet up front. Bitterness follows that is peppery but smooth. Not really getting the floral hop notes. Nice prickly carbonation an the way down, and the bitterness follows down. Dry but a refreshing summer brew.

rbrazell (1698) - Florida, USA - JUN 3, 2014
Draft at Closed for Business. Clear pale golden pour with a frothy white head. aroma of yeast, citrus, winter mint, bubblegum and pine. Flavor is pretty similar with solid degree of yeast spice filling the tongue. Medium bodied and refreshing. Not bad.
