COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Nothing is more evocative of summer than the beautiful aroma of flowers, and the favored flowers of brewers are hops. Our brand new summer ale, Fleur de Houblon (Hop Flowers), is brewed to bring the many elements of summer into a refreshing and easy-to-drink Belgian-style ale. Fleur de Houblon is a rich gold color with distinct floral hops in the aroma that follow through in the taste. Whole-cone Bravo hops are used to impart their earthy, fruity, and floral aromas and flavors. The body and flavor are clean and dry, with pleasing complexity and spicy notes from both primary and secondary fermentation with our unique Ommegang house yeast.

Intense beginning, but dry finish makes it work. Great beer for the patio during the early summer.

HourGlass13 (881) - North Carolina, USA - MAY 31, 2017
Pours up a hazy orange color with a huge bubbly rocky white head that persists. Spicy earthy hop nose with a bit of sweet bready malt beneath it. Taste is mild, fruity with some earthy rustic lightly funky flavors and a bit of spicy hop flavor. Some hint of fruit pulp. Over all a pretty tasty brew.

Bravo hop is showcased here and this beer delivers plenty of it in aroma and flavor, but very low bitterness. Creamy palate. Huge beige head. Sludge pale yellow body.

Hazy yellow color with white head and some yeast sediment. Aroma has floral yeast esters with some hay, meadow flowers and citrus fruits. Taste follows with floral yeast, slightly sweet at first with some wheat notes, light grassybitterness on the finish. Medium body with smooth mouthfeel. Overall it’s a really nice hoppy Belgian ale.
