COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Valar Dohaeris is 9% ABV, brewed with pils, wheat and oats, flaked barley, and hopped with noble hops. It pours a beautiful copper-tinted hue with a full, fluffy white head. Sweet grain and honey are prevalent in the aroma. The flavor opens with a bright sweetness thanks to the Belgian candi sugar used in brewing. The finish is moderately dry and effervescent with just a hint of Belgian yeast character.

[Bottle (750ml)] Pours a cloudy golden-orange with an average size diminishing frothy white head. Yeasty and bready aroma along with some sweet honey, a hint of banana and light spices. Flavour of yeast, fruit, light spices and honey. Alcohol is well hidden. Medium bodied. Pretty good.

750ml bottle. Has floaties in it, so right off the bat makes me wonder how this could be top 50. Maybe a pinch oxidized...some green apple, but more honey. I guess it is the candi sugar, at least from the description, but I really get a honey malt tone. Some orange as well. Soft on the palate, drinkable. Good, but not really in the top tier.

10/25/2016 -- from notes: 750ml bottle, from Dutch's. Split with Steph S. Hazy golden orange color. White head, leaving pretty great lace. Great orange peel, spice, zest in the nose. Mild belgian yeast, little breadiness. Touch of vanilla, cake-like breadiness. Moderate-plus sweet, light to moderate bitter, little alcohol heat. Medium to bigger body, mild dry. Good full mouthfeel, mildly creamy. Smooth carbonation. Great tripel. Nice balance. Good big flavor, yet nice dryness, not too sweet, easy to drink. Nice to enjoy with my sandwich

2018-01-07. Hazy amber body, moderate head. Aroma is earthy, notes of peas, hops, pale malt. Flavour is similar, earthy veg character over pale malt base, light yeast. Average bodied palate, good carbonation. I enjoyed it more than my notes would suggest, but it was mostly just okay. 7/3/6-7/3/13-14 Bottle from the LCBO, Toronto.

Pours a golden colour with light orange hues. Tiny sediments through it. Warm cap, frothy, long lasting with some foamy lace. The nose is very close to most Belgian Tripels. Fruity, bready but overall quite yeasty. Hints of grains and grassy hops do come out eventually to show the American side. The taste is pretty reminiscent of the style and very light all-around. As in, quite drinkable for 9% ABV. Apples notes, light honey, blonde ale cereal, hints of spices. Well done. Just expecting more sweetness from the Belgian Ale yeast like the north American version. I could not tell this is not from Belgian.

Spab (4311) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 17, 2017
750 ml bottle from LCBO. Pours a cloudy golden colour with good-sized white head. Aroma is apple/pear, tropical fruit, bread and light spice. Flavour has lots of fruitiness with apple, pear, pineapple and banana, as well as bread, candi sugar and light spiciness. Subtle booziness. Nice one.

It pours murky gold with brownish tinges; the head is off-white and foamy. The aroma has notes of: toffee, orange-zest, citrus marmalade, and yeast. The taste is lightly sweet that finishes very dry. The palate is medium bodied, with medium carbonation - the finish is medium. Overall, it's quite jammy - nice.

Bottle opened for premier of season 7. looks and smells like a triple. Taste opens and improves as it warms a little. Hints of heather. Decent. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
