Light golden pour with lots of thick, white foam that lasts. Some sediment on the bottom of the bottle. Spices are prominent in the nose, clove, pepper. The yeast is slightly muted and some grassy hops are present. More ester flavors in the taste, bringing out some lemon. The clove and pepper are well-balanced and the malt is biscuity and smooth. Bottle. Pours a hazy earthy gold with a fluffy white head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has a good amount of flora with some light fruits and a good amount of Belgian yeast. Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy yellow body with a one inch thin fizzy white head that had decent retention. The nose is light, delicate, spicy, peppery, some slight yeastiness, floral, and at its base, lightly malty. The flavor is pretty sharp and bite-y with the peppery spiciness really grabbing you up front. Finishes with some hoppy bitterness and a slight carbonic bite from the active fizzy carbonation. 12oz bottle. Enormous off-white head atop clear apple juice body. Aroma is medium sweet, yeast spicy, some pepper, herb, lemon. Taste is medium sweet, lemon, some spicy, herb, light pepper. Effervescent light-medium body.

Bottle. Cloudy golden body with a huge, frothy, off-white head. Musty aroma with orange, spice, toasted grain. Notes of banana and lemon. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. The finish is lightly sweet, lightly bitter and lightly acidic. Medium body, watery/velvety texture, lively carbonation. A bit sweet, overall and a bit heavy for a spring saison. A: Welp...it’s one of those beers. It pours a relatively clear golden color, yeah, I figured it would. But this also pours a bajillion-finger head, bone white in shade. Luckily, the bubbly head doesn’t have fantastic retention. Some splotches of lacing are left behind. Since the head doesn’t retain annoyingly, I’ll still give it a very good score.
S: The nose offers a lot of wheat, but I also seem to pick up a weird herbal tone I get in some wheat beers - like deviled ham, almost. But there are nice notes here, like black pepper, coriander, very subtle fruit, and clove. Still, this is disappointing: I’m sure it will still taste good, but I flat-out don’t like this beer’s aroma.
T: Thankfully, the taste does work well. Some mild fruitiness opens it up, quickly giving way to a (welcome) yeasty bite in the middle. The finish is nice and lemony, and even mildly herbaceous. My biggest problem is that it doesn’t taste particularly rustic: it honestly reminds me more of a witbier (a good witbier, to be fair, but still...)
M: This one is pretty light on the palate. While it’s not saison dry, it’s dry enough to go down easily. Carbonation is soft yet effective.
O: Personally, I don’t think this is that saison-y (compared to, say, Hennepin, which is and then some). To me, this tastes more like a witbier. Having said that, it’s a good one, nose aside. Over-carbonated cloudy copper beer with a bright crackling white head that fills the entire glass. I could not pour the entirety of the beer into my glass because half of it was filled with foam. Nose of lemon, white wine vinegar, and white pepper. Flavor is bright and fresh with layers of lemongrass, pepper, and spice finished with a light pungent bitterness. Crisply effervescent, this is a fine saison.
