COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This hoppy, farmhouse style ale has a champagne like effervescence with a crisp but light on the tongue finish. Similar to the Belgian Saison style , this beer serves well as an aperitif. Hennepin has a majestic golden hue. The style is called Grisette or farm house and is considered to be in the domain of the Belgian Saisons.

Drank on the porch a month or two ago on a Sunday evening. This is a semi-regular beer since it is under $4 for a 750. 750ml bottle. NB worthy glass. (20 minutes out of the fridge) The cork pops out of the bottle and the aroma is instant. When poured, the beer is golden orange with a healthy, one fingered head and active carbonation. No yeast in the first glass. The aroma is tart; lemon zest, yeast, white pepper, mild hops. The beer is full-bodied and bubbly. The initial taste is tart, malty, yeasty, with some citrus peel notes and wildflower honey,. There is some spiciness, mild bitterness, vanilla, and some good funkiness too in the flavor. When the foam dies down, the beer coats the glass. The finish is dry and astringent with some lingering bitterness. On glass #2 (35 minutes out of the fridge) it seems the tartness and funkiness are more pronounced. Still no apparent yeast. Glass #3 (80 minutes out of the fridge) brings the yeast. Foamy head. More? pronounced aroma. Softer mouthfeel and the added taste of yeast and flour. This is a really nice beer and an absolute bargain.

Bought a 4-pack. In a glass it looks wonderful, leaving attractive lacing. Aroma is lemony fresh with a hint of soft Carmel and other neat finds. The flavor is good, but hindered with a yeast flavor. Once I got by that though it was very pleasing. This price was $10.50 a 4 pack. For me, too costly but most likely worth every penny.

Huge 750 ML bottle. Subdued aroma with hints of overripe fruit. The beer pours an attractive golden color with moderate clarity. Very substantial head that has a lot of staying power. There is also some effervesence in the beer itself that adds crispness. Plenty of citurs fruit such as lemon and orange. The beer (or style) reminds me of a hefe in some ways. It is a delicious beer and the 750 ML bottle still left me wanting more.

Bomber. Poured a hazy, pale yellow color with a creamy white head that slowly diminished. The aroma was hoppy , producing lemon, fruit, and flowers. The flavor came with oranges, flowers, clove, and banana. Light bodied with a comfortable bitterness. Very enjoyable.

Bottled; my first saison. Hazy golden coloring with an aroma of cloves and fruits. The flavor was mostly orange with some light spice. A very enjoyable, easy-drinking high gravity beer.

In the big bottle. Pours a straw colored yellow with a stiff white head. Aroma has citrus, coriander and yeasty esters. Flavor is clean and tart with a fine bitterness, and some sweetness.

Poured from a bottle this beer is an inviting golden color... almost clear with a bold fizzy top. Nice lace is forming as I sip. Aroma is fruity, yeasty with peppery notes...reminds me of a fine wine. Flavor is an outstanding cornucopia of different fruity sweetnes with banana, lemon, apricot and plenty of peppery spice to balance. Not at all heavy with a pleasing fizzy mouthfeel. Pleasant yeasty aftertaste that invites another sip. Ommegang seems to have captured the belgian "magic" in this Saison.
