COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This style is a farmhouse ale, and is considered to be in the domain of the Belgian Saisons. Hennepin is a delicious brew for all seasons, it is spicy and refreshing. A moderately hoppy, farmhouse-style ale with a champagne-like effervescence, Hennepin has a crisp start followed by malt sweetness balanced with a firm bitterness. Hennepin has a bounty of great flavors: ginger, spice, orange and toasted grain. Pouring a bright golden color with a spicy-sweet balance of orange peel, sweet malt, hops and ginger, Hennepin makes way for a dry finish with a slight bite of ginger.

A nice, light saison with a nice spicy character on the palate. Good but not something I’m going to hunt down in 5 bars.

Crisp and light with a great drinkability. Finish is nice and dry. Always fresh and always for a great price.

thanks to mullman. yellow clear with thin white lace. Aroma is a bit flowery. Very clean, dry flavor. Good.

Pour is a cloudy yellow with a nice big white head. Aroma is a nice banana and fruity mix with some clove in there. Flavor is a bit of corriander with a spicy kick at the end. Has a light bitterness as it goes down. A pleasing beer for the senses.

UPDATED: JUL 17, 2005 Pours a medium golden body with a fizzy, white head. The aroma is some light fruits and spices with and underlying funk aroma. The flavor didn’t reflect the nose, though. Nice lemony citrus and yeast flavors that end dry and abruptly.

Not what I was expecting, but very enjoyable. It could be fuller tasting but I enjoyed what I had. Crisp is a good description, could be more hoppy? Great aroma, love the corked bottle.

Blonde ale with a light white head. Light spicey aroma. Good malt base with light coriander notes and alcohol warmth. Light sweetness in finish. Bottled at CNY brewfest, Feb.5 2005.

UPDATED: MAR 11, 2005 New York State has a lot going for it. It is the capitial of an economic empire and the home of Brewery Ommegang. This is an excellent beer. The color is a nice cloudy medium yellow, with a beautiful long lasting head. The taste is to my tooth, dry, with a slightly sweet aftertaste.
