Nice yeast aroma with light fruit aromas of pear. Brew pours big head which is completely lasting. Flavor is nice, light fruitiness, touch of spice. Initial flavor is dry with a hop finish. Good not great Saison. Silphium (3198) - Traverse City, Michigan, USA - JUL 4, 2003
Light, zesty body topped by a thick white head. Vinous and sharp alcohol aroma. Flavor is, like the aroma, comprised of vinous fruit and sharp alcohol notes. Lively carbonation. The white wine of beers, si? radiomgb (2686) - Peterborough, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 21, 2003
Murky yellow, honey colour. Aroma is quite yeasty, giving the flavour of this beer and nice zing to it. The flavour and a nice sweet/spicy thing going on making it nicely balanced. Lots of citrus in the finish. GregClow (3402) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 19, 2003
Wow, what a beautiful beer. Nice golden colour with a slight haziness. Aroma is spicey and fruity, with a bit of earthiness in the background. Full and robust flavour with notes of citrus, corriander, yeast and tongue-tingling hops. Yowza! invalid (302) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JUN 12, 2003
very earthy smell. no head retention and low carbonation. Banana falvors along with a hop dryness. Not a bad saison!

Nice golden color and a slightly fruity aroma. No head retention after only a minute in the glass. Medium bodied, crisp with fruity (but not as fruity as most Belgians) taste. Clean finish and minimal aftertaste. Decent. winterlager (101) - Orchard Park, New York, USA - JUN 7, 2003
Pours golden in color, smells spicy and fruity. Very clean crisp flavors..perfect first beer of the night. I found to be refreshing and really an overall great beer. Racegoer (355) - Indiana, Indiana, USA - JUN 6, 2003
straw colored, bananas, fruits and some pepper spice. somewhat lightly acidic, drinkable and refreshing Indra (2710) - Suburbia, Kansas, USA - JUN 5, 2003
Fruity, citrusy and quite spicy aroma, with an undercurrent of gentle malts and floral sweetness, ending with a faint waft of pepper. Hazy, medium golden color, with generous froth and lacing. Flavor is initially citric, faintly fruity and sweet before turning lightly grainy, bittering and hoppy. Lemony tartness is present throughout in varying degrees, lending a sharp, slightly acidic character. Snappy finish. Really good this time of year especially. hopscotch (11248) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - JUN 5, 2003
Hazy, yellow brew with a huge white, creamy head. Mostly lasting with excellent, thick lacework.
Yeasty, citrusy and spicy aroma with additional notes of apricot, alcohol and a trace of burning rubber.
Very enjoyable flavor.
Citrusy and yeasty up front. Acetic, astringent, alcoholic and very lightly bitter on the backside. Well-balanced.
Full-bodied with an silky mouthfeel and lively carbonation.
Lengthy, citrusy and bitter finish. Bone dry at the very end.
Another great beer from Brewery Ommegang.
