COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This style is a farmhouse ale, and is considered to be in the domain of the Belgian Saisons. Hennepin is a delicious brew for all seasons, it is spicy and refreshing. A moderately hoppy, farmhouse-style ale with a champagne-like effervescence, Hennepin has a crisp start followed by malt sweetness balanced with a firm bitterness. Hennepin has a bounty of great flavors: ginger, spice, orange and toasted grain. Pouring a bright golden color with a spicy-sweet balance of orange peel, sweet malt, hops and ginger, Hennepin makes way for a dry finish with a slight bite of ginger.

Unfiltered, gold color. Fruit and spice in the nose. Banana-like flavors from the yeast. More spices in the taste were evident after it warmed up a bit. Nice, crisp finish with a alcohol kick. A most enjoyable saison-style beer.

Glowing goldenrod color with a fizzy lacing head. Aroma is somewhat cheesy and spicy with acid malt notes. Body is semi-sweet and mellow with a fizzy mouthfeel and a dry, sticky woody finish. This exhibits decent balance. A pretty good American made Saison.

Hazy yellow in color with small frothy head. Some particles floating about. Slightly hoppy aroma with floral notes. Light sweet flavor, with a little bit of hop bite on the finish

Yellow goldish color. Large head. Flowery aroma. Little bit of citrus flavor and kind of bubbly like champagne. Good belgian ale that seems to be more like a triple.

poured a yellowish hue with a thick white head. Had a sweet bubblegum aroma. It had a very malty taste to it with traces of lemon and banana.

Huge foamy thick yet light head. Medium wheat shade. Earthy/slightly flowery aroma. Malty and lemony with a bit of doughy flavor mixed in. A terrific bargain and a great way to introduce someone to the style.

This brew poured a large white foamy head that was long lasting. The lacing was so-so on the sides of my glass. This brew was gold in body. There was carbonation rising to the top with this brew. It had a sweet lemony aroma to it in my opinion. There was no bitterness to this brew. It was a smooth tasting brew much to my liking. To "thedm" yes, I have a buzz!!!

UPDATED: JUN 4, 2003 This brew pours a large invigorated white head of finely sized bubbles. It has a Cloudy wheat yellow color with yeast and carbonation rising in it. It has a mild malty hoppy aroma. Its a bit fizzy at first, but it soon dies out. I tasted a mixture of flavors that was unique to this brew. It was a bit chewy, doughy and had a hint of something else. It became very smooth with time. The good buzz I caught afterwards keeps making me raise my rating on this brew.
