This hoppy, farmhouse style ale has a champagne like effervescence with a crisp but light on the tongue finish. Similar to the Belgian Saison style , this beer serves well as an aperitif. Hennepin has a majestic golden hue. The style is called Grisette or farm house and is considered to be in the domain of the Belgian Saisons.

Bottle from Beergium. Clear golden, big white head that lasts a long time. Aroma is citrus, coriander, yeast, banana, spices. Medium body, light sweetness with a lively carbonation. A bit on the Wit side but i like it a lot.

On tap @ Fools Gold. This is a mild blurry looking goldenish colored one with a nice medium sized hefty lacing white head on the top. Smells nice with a slightly lemonic sour mild theme. Lime zest and some soft yeast. Blue grapes and pear also in here. Nice. Its sweeter in the taste than the aroma. Nice and oily on the texture and about average on the small prickling carbonation bubbles. Refreshing and saison typical in the taste. A bit on the sweeter side perhaps. More pear and melon, a little bit of hay. Soft white peppery tail. Good stuff. 20.06.2015

This is my first Belgian Saison style recommended by a cousin who likes Belgians. It was very, very good, really enjoyed it. Golden color, nice head, medium body, noticeably sweet and hoppy. Definitely going to try this again.

Bomber from Whole Foods, poured into tulip glass for a toast to my departed dad. Orange yellow with strong carbonation, yeasty nose, big white head. Full bodied with strong alcohol taste that tends to overpower other more subtle notes of orange peel and coriander. The finish is sweet malt.

Bottle from West Side. Pours a hazy gold with 2 fingers of pillowy foam that linger. Classic saison nose with light citrus, wheat and faint grass. Silky smooth body and mouthfeel. Lightly sweet, but with some peppery bitterness. Peppery finish with some light grassy hops. Way better than I expected.

BB backlog, Bottle with Fantasy, pours a hazy orange color with medium 2 finger off white head. Heavy spices, orange skin, herbs, candy sugar, hops and sweet malt dominate the smell and taste. I definitely wouldnt call this a grisette these days. Way too boozy and sweet profile for that style

Apricot aromas, hazy straw colored appearance. Heavily carbonated, light banana flavors, finishes light and crisp. Really easy to drink saison.
