This style is a farmhouse ale, and is considered to be in the domain of the Belgian Saisons. Hennepin is a delicious brew for all seasons, it is spicy and refreshing. A moderately hoppy, farmhouse-style ale with a champagne-like effervescence, Hennepin has a crisp start followed by malt sweetness balanced with a firm bitterness. Hennepin has a bounty of great flavors: ginger, spice, orange and toasted grain. Pouring a bright golden color with a spicy-sweet balance of orange peel, sweet malt, hops and ginger, Hennepin makes way for a dry finish with a slight bite of ginger.

One of my favorites. Pillowy 3-finger pour. Malty alcohol aroma with a hint of banana. Light and crisp with hints of lemon. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Gorgeously frothy head that never recedes and unmistakeably Belgian yeasty bursts accompany this crisp golden ale -- we’ve arrived at Duvel v2. I know they call it a Saison, but for the life of me I can’t think of why. Immensely quaffable, but didn’t we already have Den Duvel?

12 oz bottle. Strong yeasty aroma and taste. The body was a murky yellow, with a decent head. I didn’t really go for the taste though, some strange off-flavors that seemed to hinder the taste of the brew. Perhaps a bad bottle…

UPDATED: MAR 22, 2005 a fairly easy drinking saison with nice wheat flavor and nice light.almost opaque color. a good beer.

355 ml bottle. Pours a cloudy straw yellow with a billowing head. Complex spicy aroma with hints of pepper and lemon. Light crisp body with lively carbonation. Dry finish with fruity body and a balance slightly to the hoppy side.

ghendrix (153) - Rochester, New York, USA - JUL 29, 2013
From bottle. Pours hazy light gold, very lively. Big fluffy white head that sticks around leaving strong lacing once eventualy dissipated. Banana, passion fruit, bread and hay malts on the nose. Sweet and fruity in the mouth, with citrus and some ginger spice mixed in with the barnyard yeastiness. Bitterness afterwards. Has a light-medium body and very lively fizzing on the tongue. Really nice overall.

Being new to the style, I can’t say how it compares to others. I will say it is a very enjoyable beer. Pours a pale golden color with a frothy white head. Nose is earthy...a funky yeasty taste is in the flavor as well. Fruity and tart with a nice mouthfeel. A very enjoyable brew.

UPDATED: APR 23, 2005 Hazy blonde color. Powerful almost pungent but semi-pleasant aroma of hops & fruit. Apply-raisin and bubbly dry sensation. A good introduction to the Saisons for me. Enjoyable, but more interesting than anything. [$3.99/25oz]

Só me recordo das notas, os detalhes ficarão para uma nova degustação. Mas posso dizer que é uma ótima Saison, com boa presença de lúpulo, frutas e ervas.
