COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This style is a farmhouse ale, and is considered to be in the domain of the Belgian Saisons. Hennepin is a delicious brew for all seasons, it is spicy and refreshing. A moderately hoppy, farmhouse-style ale with a champagne-like effervescence, Hennepin has a crisp start followed by malt sweetness balanced with a firm bitterness. Hennepin has a bounty of great flavors: ginger, spice, orange and toasted grain. Pouring a bright golden color with a spicy-sweet balance of orange peel, sweet malt, hops and ginger, Hennepin makes way for a dry finish with a slight bite of ginger.

DSG (14784) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - JAN 23, 2012
UPDATED: MAR 25, 2012 Re-rate 3/23/12: Bottle sample at a spring beers tasting at Norma Jean. Slightly hazy golden with a big frothy white head. Floral and fruity aroma, a bit spicy, with yeast and a bit of hops. Fruity yeasty flavor, a bit spicy, has light sweetness but is pretty dry, with light acidic notes and some floral and spicy hops. Finishes drier. Medium-bodied with lively carbonation. 7/4/7/3/14=3.5

Bottle. Lovely clear golden color with lots of carbonation and a huge, firm and fluffy white head. Nice aroma of spicy hops, flowers, yeast and fruit esters. Dry-ish flavor with yeast, fruit, some spiciness and a light malty sweet backbone. Finishes drier and moderately bitter with some spiciness, slightly earthy hops and a bit of alcohol. Medium-bodied, lively carbonation. A good one. 7/4/7/3/14=3.5

Scopey (14730) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 16, 2015
Bottle at home. It pours cloudy golden with a decent fluffy white head. The nose is soft, doughy, cereal, fruity, spicy action, herbal, grassy, nougat, banana, orange rind, brioche and toasty grain. The taste is smooth, doughy, crisp grassy bitterness, spice, ripe banana, apple, pear drops, some alcohol boost, orange peel and toasty grain with a dry, spicy finish. Medium body and moderate-high foamy carbonation. True to style and could easily pass for a Belgian creation. Tasty.

imdownthepub (14554) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - FEB 3, 2013
Bottled, 355ml from Stirchley Wines & Spirits, Birmingham. Gold with white head. Bitter lemons in the aroma, which transfers into the flavour pretty accurately. Herby, spicy, fruity Belgian Yeast notes and the drying lemon, perhaps a bit of a dish-wash liquid note, but otherwise fairly decent.

On tap at flying saucer. Has a cloudy orange yellow with a frothy white head that leaves behind good sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is a sweet fruit with a lingering pinot. Medium mouthfeel with a dry fruit taste. Easy to drink while hiding the alcohol well. A very good saison from hennepin.
