This hoppy, farmhouse style ale has a champagne like effervescence with a crisp but light on the tongue finish. Similar to the Belgian Saison style , this beer serves well as an aperitif. Hennepin has a majestic golden hue. The style is called Grisette or farm house and is considered to be in the domain of the Belgian Saisons.

Bottle. Poured a light hazy yellow with a huge pure white frothy head that was fully lasting and had extremely excellent lacing. The aroma was very heavy of an earthy yeast, and a moderate odor of straw malts and a citrus hops with notes of banana and some spices(clove I think). It tasted mildly sweet and yeasty with a slight acidic tinge at first and ended with mildly bitter yeast flavor and had hints of citrus, and other spices with the flavor lingering on the palate for a nice while. Mouthfeel was light to medium in body and watery yet dry in texture with a flat carbonation. Overall an exceelent representation of the style and a brew most definitely worth drinking again.

This is my first Belgian Saison style recommended by a cousin who likes Belgians. It was very, very good, really enjoyed it. Golden color, nice head, medium body, noticeably sweet and hoppy. Definitely going to try this again.

Bomber from Whole Foods, poured into tulip glass for a toast to my departed dad. Orange yellow with strong carbonation, yeasty nose, big white head. Full bodied with strong alcohol taste that tends to overpower other more subtle notes of orange peel and coriander. The finish is sweet malt.

Bottle from West Side. Pours a hazy gold with 2 fingers of pillowy foam that linger. Classic saison nose with light citrus, wheat and faint grass. Silky smooth body and mouthfeel. Lightly sweet, but with some peppery bitterness. Peppery finish with some light grassy hops. Way better than I expected.

Tasting at brewery. Pours yellow with a foamy white head. Aroma is grassy with clove and coriander. Taste is clove, coriander, light lemon, grain funk, spice, and light pepper. Dry finish. Medium body. Medium carbonation. Thick, pillowy mouthfeel.

BB backlog, Bottle with Fantasy, pours a hazy orange color with medium 2 finger off white head. Heavy spices, orange skin, herbs, candy sugar, hops and sweet malt dominate the smell and taste. I definitely wouldnt call this a grisette these days. Way too boozy and sweet profile for that style

Apricot aromas, hazy straw colored appearance. Heavily carbonated, light banana flavors, finishes light and crisp. Really easy to drink saison.

On tap at Draft Taproom. Floral aromas, banana, herbal. Hazy yellow with a fully lasting white head. Dry floral. Medium bodied.

Poured into a pilsner showing well filtered neon yellow with a finger of clean white foam. The nose shows a lot of bready malts and Belgian yeast influence. The palate is well carbonated and light bodied. Strong alcohol bite immediately becomes quite apparent and very unwelcome for this style. Flavors of strong Belgian yeasty notes with a light sweetness throughout and a complete lack of malt backbone.

Barwa ciemnego złota, piana wysoka, drobnopęcherzykowa, ciężka. Piwo mocno opalizujące. Bardzo intensywny aromat przypraw, pieprzu, goździkw, kwiatw, drożdży. W smaku rwnież intensywnie przyprawowy i drożdżowy, po ogrzaniu rwnież brzoskwiniowy. Odczucie nieco gryzące w język wynikające ze sporego nagazowania i mocnych nut pieprzowych. Bardzo pijalne.
