Hop House pays homage to the historic hop farm that stood on the brewery grounds over 100 years ago. Hop House combines the delicious aromas and flavors of a Belgian-style ale with generous hopping, including dry-hopping. A well-balanced, yet ample, hop character defines this fine pale ale, bringing Belgian-style beer lovers and hop-heads together to enjoy our Belgian-American love child.

This beer was somewhat interesting and unique, but it's the first ommegang beer that I haven't thought was fantastic. I found the aroma, flavors and mouthfeel to be thin. Light aroma of fresh hops, light hop flavors, light malts, thin/light mouthfeel. Just nothing really stands out on this one. Perhaps if I tried it on a warm day...

Go Cubs! Aroma is very dry, rustic, citrus, rye, grassy, tart, barnyard. Appearance is amber, off white head, hazy. Taste is robust, grain, malt, rye for sure, citrus, spicy, dry. Mouthfeel is light to medium body, light crisp carbonation, rye wheat dry aftertaste. Overall, its tasty but hard to categorize it by taste.

12oz bottle (courtesy of Headbanger) poured into a Trappist Glass at 42. Color is a hazy golden orange with good carbonation and a fluffy head. Aroma is hops, citrus and Belgian yeast. It has a medium body with a light crisp mouth feel. Flavor citrus, hop spice, a bold bitterness and just a hint of fruit. In the after taste the citrus gives an orange note before fading into a dry bitter finish. Overall it is a tasty and unique brew, very well done.

Pours a hazy medium orangish amber color. Aroma is lightly malty, hoppy, yeasty, with a touch of fruit. Flavor is a nice mixture of malts and fruits.

12oz bottle. Large, rocky off-white head atop hazy amber body. Aroma is moderately sweet, flower, some herb, Belgian yeast, hay, some dandelion. Taste is moderately sweet, Belgian yeast spicy, herb, some flower, straw, light hay. Light-medium body, some effervescence, light acidity, stickiness, nicely drinkable.

Bottle. Cloudy gold in color. Giant head with nice lace. Aroma is the pleasant floral-hoppy notes that I find really nice. The taste is also really nice, not the strip the skin off your tongue bitterness of some DIPAs. Citrus and floral favors. Like it!

Draft. Pours a cloudy yellow with white pillowy head. Aroma is yeast, light Hops, some citrus. Taste is spicy with the yeast showing through more than the Hops. Could have been a little hoppier with it being in the name, but overall pretty good.

[Bottle (12oz)] Pours a hazy, very bubbly copper-gold with a large long-lasting fluffy white head. Lots of lacing. Pleasant yeasty and hoppy aroma, herbal as well, and finally fruity and bready. Nice flavour (7+): yeasty, floral, herbal and hoppy along with a long moderate bitter finish. Average to medium bodied. Really good stuff.

Well hopped Belgian pale. Very nicely done and refreshing. A more drinkable Belgian IPA. Worth seeking out. Fresh bottle from Premier.

Marshmallow peeps, spearmint, grass nose. Hazy amber, thick lacy head. Cat piss, grass, pear, lillies. Medium body easy carbonation. Wow, how much do I love BPAs? Such bright and complimentary complexity. A harmonious marriage of fruit and floral notes, both from the hops and the yeast by products. This beer is an outstanding representation of the style and the latest iteration of Ommegangs development of the BPA.

12 ounce bottle poured into a brandy snifter. The beer is a moderately hazy gold color with a big, fluffy, white head of foam. The aroma is herbal, bubble gum, cotton candy, and dry straw. Floral and dry bitterness in the taste with a twang of sweetness hiding in the background. Medium body. High carbonation. I get a bit of a smarties candy flavor toward the finish. Sweet vanilla and candy notes hinted throughout.
