Pours a light gold color with a fizzy white head. The aroma was a rather light fruit sent. The flavor is a fizzy banana funk flavor. The body was thin with a funky aftertaste. Overall not a good beer. BeerdedDave (1785) - Beckley, USA - DEC 29, 2015
cloudy, light amber color with a thick, white head; great, spicy, citrusy, Belgian yeast aroma; a great, spicy blonde ale; Belgian yeast and lots of spice notes - corriander, pepper, citrus; tastes more like a saison than a blonde; an excellent bee ryanscourt (1477) - Latrobe, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 22, 2015
Listed as a blonde ale on the bottle, far from the assembly line of boring blond craft beers. Great spicy belgian sweetness. Still has a basic grainy body but tons of flavor. fakebeersnob (325) - Salt Lake City, Utah, USA - DEC 18, 2015
UPDATED: DEC 19, 2015 Pours a light slightly cloudy copper, with a foamy white head that settles to a soapy lacing. Aroma is of very faint Belgium yeast and bubblegum. Very lively carbonation....too lively? Some peppery spiceness hits the tongue with the carbonation. I am getting some sourness in this - which does not seem correct.
I am a very big fan of this brewery, but this seems like a total miss to me. Not understanding the praise for this one.
Unsure if I had a bad bottle, or a not properly cleaned glass - but this deserves a re-rate over my initial 2.9 rating.
Still slightly over-carbonated for my liking. The sourness that was coming on strong before is not there. There is a touch of citrus - lemon? Some peppery spiciness, and light yeast. The sourness replaced with a light sweetness. Still not a favorite from this brewery, and will probably not ever get again - but it is a decent light Belgium ale. islay (2805) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - DEC 17, 2015
Approximately 5 oz. from a 750 mL bottle. Consumed on 12-16-15. Pours a cloudy, dark gold to bronze with a moderate to large amount of cream to beige-colored head. Strong, yeasty, floral, tart aroma. Bubblegum scent. Very nice, Belgian ale smell. Lightly tart, dry taste. A bit of pepper spiciness. Pleasant but not memorable flavor. Chalk in the finish and aftertaste; lightly astringent aftertaste. Medium body. Smooth and frothy in the palate, but the palate effects are unremarkable. Gets off to a good start, but ends up underwhelming. Enjoyable beer but not a notably good one.

Clear yellow with a medium sized white head, good lacing. Aroma is grainy and straw. Taste is grainy and citrus
A good blonde belgian. Has a nice floral taste and finish. Looks great in the glass. Sirmixsomewhat (266) - Paoli, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 10, 2015
Iron Throne pours a beautiful shade of gold, but that’s about all it has going for it that’s well above average, which is strange for Ommegang. I don’t smell anything, its taste is not offensive but I doubt I’ll remember it when I finish this glass, and it feels almost bitter on the tongue. An average beer at best. Hazy golden with a tall white head. Fresh citrus, yeast, spice, a bit of candied fruit. Medium bodied with loads of carbonation. Finishes long, spicy, a bit sweet. djd07 (15075) - Houston, Texas, USA - DEC 3, 2015
Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange yellow with medium frothy off white head that lasts. The aroma is wheat, clove, banana, spice. Medium mouth feel with strong wheat, citrus, spicy finish, good.
