Nice golden color. Malty spiced aroma. Sharp on the tongue. Clean malt flavor with Belgian spices. Good beer. rajendra82 (1078) - Alpharetta, Georgia, USA - OCT 11, 2015
The very pale Lannister blond body, and the rapidly rising carbonation bubbles. which formed a large, three finger thick head, made this beer look very similar to Duvel. The smell was spicy, fruity, sweet.,and slightly funky, which were all indicators of a yeast and wheat dominated beer. Each sip presented classic Belgian strong ale flavors of lemon, pear, white pepper, clove, banana, and a finish that was quite barnyard funky. Light, airy body, and an easy drinking disposition were quite pleasing. One of the most authentic tasting Belgian strong pale ale I have seen originating outside the mother country. Well done in returning this beer to the market, as I missed it during the initial release. The beer came in a two pack box of bombers bundled with a Brewery Ommegang and Game of Thrones branded glass. The exquisite artwork of the box provided an additional treat to a fan of the show like me. Winter is coming, so I might have to pick up a few of these to keep me warm. smith4498 (3641) - Winter Springs, Florida, USA - OCT 10, 2015
Pours hazy straw color with white head. Aromas of coriander, citrus, banana, and grass. Similar flavors with some bitterness and earthiness. Medium body with lively carbonation. Dorkenstein (537) - - OCT 8, 2015

I’m glad Ommegang re-released this, since I missed it the first time around. Pours a hazy yellow with a billowy white foam head. Aroma is lemon and spicy Belgian yeast. Flavor is lemon peel and sweet, spicy Belgian yeast, with a touch of bitterness at the end. Very enjoyable.

Did not expect to find this on tap at Cantoro’s in Northville Michigan; searching for 2 years for this and it randomly appears. Aroma is of peach, white pepper, and straw; but this was served cold, i expect it to open up more as it warms up - a bit of sour dough bread and fallen crab apple when it warms up, some clove, oaky tannins. Appears hazy gold, lots of bubbles, nice white lace. Tannins really stand out in the taste (on the end), mild black pepper and sweet cereal grain are up front, tannins remind me of many Jolly Pumpkin ales. Fizzy, light, but the high tannin density makes it very "pucker-y." Overall, good. superspak (5514) - Michigan, USA - SEP 30, 2015
750 ml bottle into signature tulip glass, bottled on 8/14/2015. Pours slightly hazy bright golden yellow color with a 3 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense foamy lacing clings around the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of lemon, orange, apricot, pear, apple, coriander, pepper, clove, light banana/bubblegum, wheat, biscuit, light honey, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/earthy yeast, spices, bready malt, and earthy hop notes; with good strength. Taste of big lemon, orange, apricot, pear, apple, coriander, pepper, clove, light banana/bubblegum, wheat, biscuit, light honey, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Good amount of yeast spiciness and moderate earthy/grassy hop bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, orange, apricot, pear, apple, coriander, pepper, clove, wheat, biscuit, light honey, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/earthy yeast, spices, bready malt, and earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and fairly creamy/bready/sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice Belgian blonde ale style. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/earthy yeast, spices, bready malt, and earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering. UPDATED: MAR 31, 2016 One of the finest I’ve tasted and it was the beer that started my trek toward drinking craft brews.
A full, rich, brew with a surprisingly light touch on the palate considering the amount of sediment left on the bottom after being capped. I hope they bring it back as an anniversary offering. youdictategood (467) - Florida, USA - JUL 3, 2015
Bottle to trappist. Very pale, slightly cloudy pour with a large, thick head. Head sticks around. Aroma of lemon peel, moss, some sweetness. More lemon, along with yeast and some orange bitters, in the flavor. Thicker mouthfeel than expected. Damico (3147) - Royersford, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 8, 2015
Pours unclear thick and blonde with a nice creamy white full beige head. The aroma brings some sweet Belgian yeast, lavender, honey, and a subtle hint of citrus. Body is almost creamy, with nice light tangy yeast and citrus, the lemon peel shining through smoothly.
