750ml bottle. Pretty much nails it for the style. Very authentic flavor profile and mouthfeel. On the lighter, perfect side of full bodied. Excellent doughy malt tones, champagne effervescence. Its not so different than a classic Belgian Ale...that’s why I love it. Niko100 (2891) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 19, 2017
Hazy golden color; Medium slightly creamy body; Aroma of yeast/funk, floral, some fruit, & spice; Flavor of malt, yeast, hops, citrus, some clove, and spice; Crisp dry finish; Nicely balanced; Solid. Mep3222 (1547) - East Greenbush, New York, USA - FEB 12, 2017
Aroma is a banana nutty Belgian yeasty up front with almost a lager funk finish. Taste is like a malty lager with some Belgian yeasty qualities. Dry finish. Not a ton going on with this one, and not a beer that needs to be in a 750ml corked bottle. Drinkable and fine, but really a letdown for an ommegang beer.

750ml bottle: This one pours a clear, darker yellow color. There is a huge white head on it that leaves some lacing. It has a good nose. Some yeast, banana, clove and other faint spices. The taste is good. Some banana, citrus, spices, clove and earthiness. Nice. luttonm (6172) - Seattle, Washington, USA - DEC 13, 2016
Growler Guys, Seattle. Heavy yellow orange juicy pour. Seemed a lot of head as they poured, but they just left me with a full glass. Touch of waxy base, creamy sweet alcohol note and rosy ester. A bit of orange pulp with the banana note. A bit heavy and one note on its own, but I bet this can be paired wonderfully with food. Sparking carb, juicy Belgian yeast note. Solid.

Backlog, Bottle from Cooks, Pours a hazy blonde gold shade with an average to larger sized top and nice lacing on the glass. Smell and flavor are green pepper, grain, lemon zest, dark fruit, and strong spices. Was a bit too much and unbalanced with the spicing. Some banana and pear as it warms. Medium bodied. Not my favorite but its not awful either bergstaden (2937) - Røros, NORWAY - OCT 15, 2016

DATE: OCCASION: binging on Game of Thrones the last few nights, it’s time for Naked and Afraid XL--and this beer... GLASSWARE: Chimay 150th chalice... thick, hazy orange amber body... a central eruption of bubbles says something is alive and at work here... the head is a thing of beauty--white-as-Ghost’s fur, thick as Tormund’s beard, and clinging as the Prince of the Eyre... citric orange and pineapple play with cracker malts... apple and pear suggest a crisp spiciness and a natural sweetness... the palate is the epitome of drinkability, with a frothy head greeting each sip and a lingering sweetness at each finish... a striking balance between dryness and liveliness... as to the flavor, besides the aforementioned aromas, slight nuttiness and vanilla, with a winelike sweetness--such a complex contrast, and yet, so drinkable... as biased as I am--towards the brewery and the novels/shows--there’s no empirical data denying this beer’s quality, and although it is a one-off, I will not deny seeking this our again if I have the chance...
