VDuquerroux (1860) - Airvault, Haut-Poitou, FRANCE - NOV 11, 2014
Bottle, 33cL. Home. A clear light yellow beer with many bubbles ; big white creamy head, good retention. Herbal aroma, bread, alcohol, fruit (citrus). Light sweet, light to medium dry bitter refreshing. Full body, medium texture (no silkiness), fizzy carbonation, medium bitter finish with a warming background. Overall, a good herbal bitter belgian ale.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Light yellowy gold colour, slight haze, white foam. A classic well balanced Belgian ale, yeasty, fruity, tantalising hop bitterness, crisp. Very drinkable, balanced, nice.

Alusmamuts (2136) - LATVIA - OCT 25, 2014
Golden hazy sparkling with medium bit creamy white head. Strong carbonation, bitterness also on the first half of the tongue with certain sweet notes. Some remaining bitterness on the tongue root.

UPDATED: DEC 16, 2014 330ml bottle served in its own chalice glass. A: Light golden yellow color that becomes a bit cloudy in the end of the pouring. Forms a big and very bubbled white head. Strong carbonation with lot of thin bubbles coming from the bottom of the glass. Lots of soapy lacings are formed and left in the glass. Big retention with a creamy layer that remains forever on the top S: Very sweet, grainy and biscuity in the nose. A bit fruity too. Notes of oranges, honey, orange zest, Belgian bready yeasts and flowery hops. A little bit boozy in the end T: Light sweet upfront. Very grainy. Sweet grains. Notes of pale grains, dry fruits, sweet bread, honey, orange and orange zest. Classic bready Belgian yeasts. Taste becomes slightly bitter and remains till the end. Good stingy hops bitterness in the end. Nice hops profile. A bit boozy end M: Heavy and molasses body. Belgian bittersweet style. Aftertaste is bready, citrus and bitter O: Good drinkability. Classic Belgian Strong Pale Ale. Good [ BA Review @ 4/11/2014 ]

Malty and hoppy aroma. Flowery taste.with a tongue-heatening alcohol. Not my favourite, ...

HopfenWeisse (1558) - - OCT 2, 2014
Clear golden color with fluffy head. Aroma is malt, yeast, bit fruity. Flavor is malt, bit sweet, some fruits. Quite solid but not that special.

(Bottle). Aroma and taste of fruits, citrus and yeast. Dry in the finish. OK beer, but not anything special!

Alengrin (5713) - BELGIUM - AUG 24, 2014
Beer celebrating the Brussels "Ommegang" which also inspired the brewery of the same name in the U.S.. Rocky, off-white head, pale blonde colour, bright with vivid sparkling, like a Duvel. Grainy aroma, young ’jenever’, green apple, hint of caramel, flowery hops, iron. Dry taste with light fruitiness, some citrus and a (very) strong carbonation, pale malts in the background, florally hoppy finish with gin-like, warming alcohol. Clearly an attempt at the Duvel-style but not capable of surviving the comparison with the real thing, too one-dimensional, too alcoholic and lacking elegance.

Een heel lekker blond bier met een goede, stevige smaak. Een bier dat ik veel ga drinken
