COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Rare Vos is Flemish for "Sly Fox," and the name of one of Brussels great cafes. It has a sweetly fruity malt character and yeasty spiciness. A fine dose of yeast permits the beer to mature and mellow in the bottle.

Bottle at home. A metallic and a bit sharp and tart taste takes over this beer. Also some caramel, white bread and herbs.

Clear amber color with off-white head. Aroma is mostly yeast forward with some brown sugar and earthy hops. Taste follows. Yeasty and sugary, not sweet though, a bit of earthy hop bitterness on the finish. Light body, dry and well carbonated. Overall its a good belgian ale but it doesnt stand out with anything.

Pours a light copper/amber color with a huge foamy head. Looks fantastic. The head retains a long while. On the nose...where to start. Dough, piles of banana, leather, biscuits and bread, malty and barely a wiff of hops. The palate is round and full but a bit too carbonated for my liking. The finish is perhaps a bit tight and slightly bitter. Nice, but if this had a nicer finish I would be in love.

Pours an amber from a bottle, thick off-white head. Big yeasty aroma and flavor, well-balanced acidity. Good beer.
