UPDATED: JUL 20, 2017 This is a nice looking beer w/ a cloudy brown ruby color and a fluffy 2 finger head. Sour acidic aroma with cherries in there. Tastes of tart cherries, vinegar, and yeast. Very nice brew! I have yet to have an ommegang beer let me down

Dark ruby in appearance with a white head. Flavors of tart plums and cherries. Port wine like and sweet.

This is wonderful. Had it on tap for the first time ever at Kardinal Hall in Charlottesville, VA last summer. Pours dark brown/copper. Very present pie cherry aroma. Good carbonation. Not a sour per se. Nice balance of sweet/tart. Artisan bread and cherries linger on the palate. Nothing wrong with this.

Reddish-brown. Thin head. Has a flemish brown w cherry nose...not exactly groundbreaking stuff. Tart up front, then sweet, and a cherry syrup note. Simple, mellow example. Not bad but generally basic.

Bottle. Pours a dark reddish brown with a thick light tan head. Aroma of cherries! Also sour malt, wood, tart fruits, sour wheat. Flavor of sweet cherries, cherry juice, light fruits, tart candies, bready malt. Aroma suggests a more sour beer, but the sweetness of the cherries dominates the flavor. So delicious! Light, plenty of cherry, nice palate - not too puckering or sweet. One of the best cherry beers I think! 8/4/9/5/15 (4.1/5)

Bottle @ Front Page News, Atlanta. Cherry heavy aroma and taste. Is dark red with a thick frothy head. Feels very Belgian in style.

Bottle at PIB 2017, pours a dark chestnut brown with a small beige-head. Aroma brings out tart dark cherries and a bit of pithy fruit skins. Flavour is sweet and sour, with tart dark cherries, light balsamic and some medium sweetness. Finishes sweet and sour as well, yet with a dry mouthfeel. Nice stuff.

Idiosynkrasie (7516) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - JUN 26, 2017
330ml bottle. Dark ruby to brown colour with average, thick, foamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Intense fruity aroma, sweet-ish and tart-ish, fleshy cherry aroma with a sherbet touch, minimally leafy overtones, a minimally artificial touch of fruit gums. Taste is dry, tart, fruity, notes of cherry, sour cherry, a sherbet touch, some citric fruit acidity, controlled, subtle sweetness. Intensely fruity, superbly balanced - excellent!

Exquisite in scent, feel, appearance, & taste - the total package! Attractive ruby red pour w/ a tan head & excellent lacing. The aroma robust w/ cherry notes. The flavor is dominated by cherry but in no way overdone. It’s rather smooth on the palate as the cherry flows throughout. An outstanding fruit that is highly recommended!
