Full head that lasts with a rich caramel colour. Aroma of malt and yeast, tastes like a Belgian with a bit of sweetness of rye. Palate of barley and yeast. mike5326 (1780) - virginia beach, Virginia, USA - SEP 12, 2013
Poured from a cold bottle. Hazy orange color, huge frothy off-white head. Smells of cinnamon, nutmeg and oats. Light alcohol flavor with a smooth grain body and a nice finish. sudomorph (1181) - Barrie, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 10, 2013
355ml bottle. Pours a nearly clear, dark golden colour with a three finger, white frothy head that sticks to the glass and thins to a medium film but never truely goes away. Fine sediment can be seen suspended throughout.
Aroma is complex. Notes of spice, bread, yeast, and sugar.
Taste is malty with a bit of earthy spice and a touch of bitter on the finish.
Medium body with a medium-high carbonation. Bubbly and lively mouth feel.
This is a nice beer and the first I’ve had with Rye. I can taste a dark, earthy, spicyness throughout and assume that is from the rye. Very nice. Rustyham (1836) - St. Petersburg, Florida, USA - SEP 8, 2013
Yeast, yeast, and yeast. There is some strong pale malt body and flavor in here, but it is the yeast that really delivers the flavor. gmb5127 (234) - Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 7, 2013
Nothing amazing, has a kind of bland taste. There is some pumpkin present which is kinda nice.

UPDATED: DEC 13, 2014 On tap, Sharkey’s Radford. I had a taste and then got a 6 ounce pour. Really spicy nose, to the point I thought it had coriander or something added but it might be the yeast strain. Nah, probably the rye. I don’t like rye, sorry. Not a fan of this one. revolution2718 (379) - New Jersey, USA - SEP 7, 2013
Pours cloudy brown with substantial fluffy head. Nose is very yeasty, earthy, a little funk, lemon. Taste is yeast, earthy, grains, a little spice and can definitely taste the rye on the back end. A little hoppy, but very balanced. Has a dry finish. Does not disappoint, very drinkable, good for fall.

Keg @ Sedona. Medium amber with a small head. The nose is spicy yeast, honeyed marshmallow, pear juice. Toasted grain. The taste is mild Brett. Pear and apple tart. General spices, cinnamon. Moderately malty. Baked brown bread. Pretty clean, not as flabby as I thought it would be. Medium body, crisp. Overall, pleasing. ABUSEDGOAT (2824) - California, USA - SEP 4, 2013
Brownish colored, large head, some lace/retention. Aroma is grain, rye, caramel, somewhat floral, moderate to low spice. Medium to light bodied, quite drinkable. guzzler67 (1696) - Hanover, Maryland, USA - SEP 2, 2013
Cloudy, amber/orange appearance with an average size, off white head and good lacing. Yeasty aroma along with some soft fruit and hints of herbal hops. Modestly sweet, earthy, grainy, spicy flavors with a peppery aftertaste. Creamy texture, medium bodied, well carbonated mouthfeel and a long lasting finish. Very pleasing.
