COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Witte is our version of the classic Belgian wit or "white" ale. Witte, which is actually Flemish for white, is brewed with malted and unmalted wheat, orange peel, and coriander - offering a refreshing style that showcases the Belgian talent for brewing full-flavored ales that are also light and balanced. It is pale straw in color, slightly hazy from the yeast, and topped with a huge white, fluffy head.

Golden yelow pour, clear for the style, with a sweet spicy aroma. Flavor matches the aroma, sweet and spicy, but mouthfeel is a bit light and lacks bready or grainy quality. High carb, typical for style but not my taste. Pleasant refreshing drink riding the line between good and great.

UPDATED: FEB 4, 2016 This is a re-rate. I had it poured from the bottle into a cup. It pours a cloudy orange color with a nice white head and decent lacing. The aroma is orange, yeast, and coriander. The taste is orange, spice, and Belgian yeast. It is creamy and smooth. This delivered as expected.

Bottle. Pale, hazy, straw-yellow pour with generous white head and very good lacing. Nose is bread dough, cloves, banana, grass. Mouth is medium bodied, relatively dry and slightly creamy, some spice and dry white toast. I could drink a gallon (or two) of this. Good stuff.
