$12.99 750ml bottle. Pours with a hazed brown body and a khaki colored head. Aroma of cherries, barnyard and chocolate. Light vinegar and red wine. Taste is mildly tart, red wine, fruit, biscuit, cherries, very light acidity. Not a whole lot going on to be perfectly honest. Medium bodied, medium carbonation, mediocre sour beer. UPDATED: JUL 1, 2010 a decent beer that has been soured. for those of you who enjoy this. a perfectly serviceable brew under the right circumstances. foamy and fruity in a way that reminds me more of an alcoholic fruit foamy rather than beer. Pwn3d (1962) - Manhattan, New York, USA - JUN 30, 2010
Tap at rattle with eli. Cherry pie and vinegar nose. Mouthfeel is framboise kreik, could be more sour.. Pretty tame for a sour. Doesn’t make you wince like a proper sour should. j12601 (11000) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - JUN 30, 2010
Bottle at the Shenandoah Throwdown. Pours a clear ruby brown with a thin beige head. Soft funk and fruit. Light fruit and a bit of funk. Smooth and tasty with some more light funk on the finish. Decent, and yes it’s tasty, however it doesn’t come close to living up to the Rouge that it replaced. Leighton (21087) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 30, 2010
UPDATED: NOV 28, 2010 Tap at Rattle n Hum. Pours a cloudy, red-brown with a soft, off-white head. Tart, funk aroma with hints of fruits. Flavor is fairly sweet, lightly tart and musty. Plenty of Belgian funk as well. Medium in body with average carbonation. Finishes quite dry with lingering barnyard notes. Very good.
November 27, 2010: had the bottled version, a few months old. Better than on draft. A much stronger cherry presence. Really good. 4.0

Orange-brown pour with a light tan head. Slightly opaque. Light aroma of sour grape. Sweet cherry, almost pie like flavor. Fades to moderate sourness. Decent sour. italarican (1546) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 29, 2010
Tap at Rattle n Hum. Pours brownish maroon with moderately bodied, fizzy beige head. Aroma is very faint. Hard to pick up anything with a casual sniff. More forceful sniffing revealed some subtle grape and cherry in the distance. Flavor is weak of red grape skins and water. A slight touch of tart cherry in the finish. This is very weak and watery. Hopefully age will bring out some of the flavors, but this has a long way to go before it’s anything but bland. GT (10000) - San Diego, California, USA - JUN 29, 2010
750mL brought to Shenandoah Throwdown. Poured a slight hazy mahogany with a thin beige head. Sweet concord grape juice nose with cherry, strawberry, slight vinegar. Taste is sweet grape juice, sweet cherries, moderately tart concord grapes, slight lactic acidity, touch of red wine vinegar. Decent. Trev (2023) - Lakeville, Minnesota, USA - JUN 27, 2010

aroma is woody, tart cherry sourness. some vinegar tones and light roasted toffeeish malt presence.
Flavour is medium sourness, red wine vinegar, soft cherry fruitiness.
quite drinkable. Not as intense as some other sours. Very approachable though. I liked it.

750ml bottle shared at a tasting thanks to chswimmer on BA. Pours dark reddish-brown with a small off-white head. Aroma is slightly tart cherries and vinegar. Not terribly much to it. Flavor is pretty uninspiring. Not very flavorful. There are some cherries, oak, and red wine vinegar, but the flavor is somewhat weak overall. Somewhat watery on the palate. Very slight tartness. This beer is not very good for the style at all. We didn’t finish the bottle.
