Huge, dense, coffeecream-coloured head with good lace over cloudy red-brown beer. Fruity nose, sligthly roasted, brown sugar. I seem to get cranberry indeed, or rosehips. Bitter-roasted, bready flavour as brown bread made with bitter dark grains. Something nutty (both arachide and Brasil nuts - but bitter-roasted as previous). Feels very carbonated. At least medium bodied. Long-lastign roasted flavours, but less bitter in the aftertaste than in the main taste. Special, one that gets out of the ordinary.
My bottle is a little bit old - another clearance shelf special. Huge dark beige head. Taste is roasted, sweet malt, citrus rind hops some dark dried fruit and some sweetness. Decent stuff, but not spectacular. Aggiebob (1096) - Huntsville, Alabama, USA - APR 21, 2015
Bottle that poured a cloudy red amber with a tall frothy tan head that had lace clinging to the glass. A spicy malt aroma with a sweet flavor of fruit, toffee, caramel and molasses. j12601 (10871) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - FEB 7, 2015
Bottle at Jamesí house for the End of History tasting. Pours a clear browned amber with a thin white head. Spicy malt, plum and raisin. Medium bodied, big carbonation, spicy malt, warming alcohol. Hints of chocolate, cocoa, warm malt and alcohol. Not that tasty.

Bottle shared at the End of History tasting. Aroma is dinner rolls and red apple stem. Pours amber/red with an uneven filmy head. Taste is stale bread, red apple peel, and bitter grass. Slightly oily mouthfeel with a lingering bitterness. Overall, pretty underwhelming. Jow (3894) - New York, USA - SEP 7, 2014
